Game Dev. Update: 3-28-2020

" I feel like this post should start with "Day 12 of quarantine: Supplies are getting low but spirits are still high. Making a provisions run today to hunt for ground beef and toilet paper." lol

Fortunately, game development on Cretaceous Seas has continued with relatively few interruptions. To recap the discussion in the video, and add to it a bit more, here's a summary of the update.

1.) Ayla's locomotion is mostly drafted and programmed. It has required me to do a bit of C# scripting after all but, thanks for the wealth of tutorials on youtube, I've been able to get her moving appropriately.

2.) I'm going to continue refining her movement system before finalizing the game sprites/animations. Everything seen in the video is placeholder artwork for the more finished, polished art that'll come later. It's sort of like the pencils stage in an animation before inks and color are added.

3.) The combat system is the next big task I'll be working on. Ayla's going to need her spear attack, dive roll dodge, and a block added to her game movements. I have one or two moves planned (a big spear slash and a backwards jump dodge) and will start animating those soon as well.

4.) The combat system opens up the doorway to the big one... *drum roll*...   Enemy interactions, including triggering the vore scenes! The first scene I'll be working on is the giant Toad.

5.) Something I missed in the video - Alya is nude at this stage cause I intend to have a nude variant costume option. It's easier to animate her in the buff to start and then add the costume bits later.

The game is still a ways off from having a working alpha put together but even just having Ayla moving on screen feels like a huge step forward. Okay, that's it for now! "
