Opinions On Comics

I've continued to have the comics made because I'm working on the premise that it helps offset frustration with the long delays between animation releases. Without the comics, or at least pinup art, it'd be months between animation releases and the only things you'd get to see in the meantime would be previews and behind the scenes stuff.
Here's the thing, though - the cost for comics is fairly high, like currently around 25% of the month's pledges. Doing them myself fixes that, but then it takes away from time working on animation. A more viable solution is to reduce the amount being made down to one every two months at most. Spending as much as I do on them, I just want to make sure they're as valuable to you as I think they are.
So how important are the comics, really? Am I right or wrong that they're needed to keep your interest? Are there things you'd like to see done differently with them?
