While some mages refused to yield to the technocraftic fascist Order of the Blank, others turned and retreated deep into the earth to regroup (eventually becoming the Edynites from "The Depths of Edyn"). And still others fled for their lives, eventually discovering a neighboring pocket-universe who's original creators had vacated long ago. Dubbing the land Extorris, this group came to be known as the Extorrans and have since lived in idyllic peace for hundreds of years...
That is, until recently when a mysterious figure dubbed St. Caius the Ascended surfaced and began stirring the dissent and calling for returning to the Material Plane to exact revenge on both the Arcanuum and Blank alike, as they reclaim their ancestral homelands they were displaced from. With his followers in toe - dubbed the Children of Exile - St. Caius has began growing a following at an alarming rate....
