Critical Crafting Painting Contest - This Month Only!

Hello Critical Crew and newcomers alike!

We're super excited to announce our FIRST EVER painting contest, sponsored by Eldritch Foundry! You can check out the rules and details below. Fire up those 3D printers, and let's see what you can come up with!

You only have until January 5, 2023 11:59pm, US EST.

All Critical Crafting .slts are free to patrons to print and enter the contest! The .STLs can be found within a patron's "(Tier Name) Monthly Release" folder, "Painting Contest" subfolder.

And if you're not a patron, now is a great time to become one (though it NOT required to be a patron in order to enter the contest... All are welcome)!

Not quite ready to join the Critical Crafting patreon? No worries! All .STLs are on sale to non-patrons for only $1.99 each (see the rules below for the rest of the details).

Patrons, we are including the ALL NEW "Owlbear Warden and Ward" .STL too!

You'll have an absolute blast painting this bad boy... I know I did! Check it out!

You have to have it. You have to print it. You have to paint it. There are no other options. lol Jokes. :) But all jokes aside, just look at this monstrosity next to a normal owlbear... Dang son!

The Contest

How To Enter:

Download and print one (or more) of the Critical Crafting sculpts available in the Critical Crafting online store - either the free Ol’ Chap Ettercap model from the Ol' Chap Welcome Pack or any one of the other sculpts (on sale through the duration of the contest to non-patrons for only $1.99 with promo code CRITICALCRAFTING at checkout).

Patrons can find the .STL files uploaded to the December Google Drive folder (this month only), as our way of saying "Thanks for the support!" 🙂
Print, paint, and submit an image of your entry/entries by no later than 11:59 PM EST 01/05/2023 via one of the following methods:
1. Instagram
  1. To submit through Instagram, post your entry, tag @criticalcrafting in the image, and add the hashtag #CriticalCraftingPaintingContest to the caption.
2. Twitter
  1. To submit through Twitter, tweet your entry, tag @crit-craft and add the hastag #CriticalCraftingPaintingContest in the tweet.
3. Discord
  1. To submit through Discord, join the Critical Crafting community and add your entry to the #PaintingContest channel.
4. Facebook
  1. To submit via Facebook: share an image of your paint job in one of the crafting groups you share with Critical Crafting and tag Critical Crafting in the post; share on your personal profile and tag Critical Crafting; or submit a direct message with the image to Critical Crafting.
5. Email
  1. To submit via email, send your submission(s) to info@critical-crafting.com

Prizes and Categories:

After the painting contest has concluded, three winners will be chosen to receive a $50 gift card from our friends at Eldritch Foundry. Eldritch foundry is an incredible miniature-building company that allows you to create and customize a miniature just for you. These miniatures can be downloaded for printing as .STLs or shipped to you as phsyical miniatures!

One winner will be selected for each of the following categories:

Best in Show - The best professional-grade painting job will be awarded the Best in Show award.
Patron’s Choice - Up to 10 entries will be selected to be voted on by our patrons to determine the Patron’s choice winner.
Most Creative - The Critical Crafting team will select one entry as the Most Creative winner - This could be a painter new to the hobby but thinking outside of the box or any imaginative or interesting paint job.

ALL contestants that post a submission will be given 15% off Eldritch Foundry’s website. In order to claim this discount, please email us at info@critical-crafting.com with a link to your submission post, and we will reply with an email containing the discount code.

Rules:

1. Print and paint any Critical Crafting model. Multiple submissions are allowed per contestant (model must be painted by the contestant submitting the entry).

2. Diorama style entries are allowed as long as they contain only one model.

3. No digital painting/editing is allowed apart from simple lighting adjustments.

4. The base can be custom.

5. The character has to be the main subject of the piece.

6. Only one photo will be chosen to represent each entry but multiple photos can be shared.

7. There must be more than 3 separate contestant entries for the contest to run.

8. The contest ends on 1/5/2023 12:00 AM EST all submissions must be received by 1/5/2023 11:59 PM EST.

9. Winners will be announced within the following month.

Additional rules:

1. We will contact the winners via the most direct means available to us. Failure to claim within 30 days of the announcement of the winners will result in disqualification

2. None of the prizes for contests were manufactured by Critical Crafting, LLC. If you have any claims or questions about the products, address them directly to Eldritch Foundry.

3. Critical Crafting, LLC and affiliated sponsors can use all submitted media assets for marketing purposes

4. Critical Crafting, LLC retains the right to alter contest rules and/or decline entries based on community guidelines and terms of service at any time

Legal Notice:

1. The .STL 3D-printable files provided on the Critical Crafting website are the copyright of Critical Crafting, LLC and are not to be sold, redistributed, shared, or reproduced in a digital or physical format without the company's express consent.

2. By submitting images, files, or other content for this painting contest; you are giving Critical Crafting, LLC the rights to repost, share, modify, and otherwise use the submitted materials in marketing posts or future products without any form of compensation.
