2022 has been an amazing year and we're shocked we are somehow at the last release of the year! We went through the tropical islands in May, the deep reaches of space in the Hollow Expanse in July. Deserts in August; underwater seas in September; and deep beneath the surface of the earth last month. December wraps up this adventurous year by taking us to the frigid expanse of Nephjal and the terrors that reside here...
We've got 5 brand new encounters of varying challenge level and setting, that are ready to drop right into your existing campaigns, or can just as easily be used as a spring board into a new campaign. Help a fisherman by killing the akhlut that has been stealing all of the fish from the frozen sea. Or face down the fearsome tupilaq, while trying to solve who summoned this creature of vengeance.
You'll get 6 brand new stat blocks of various difficulty level, featuring creatures inspired from northern mythology! Take your players toe to toe with the Tupilaq, a creature of such vile origins that even most necromancers shy away from them. Or throw your party a moral conundrum with the Qallupilluit - a creature known for abducting children!
We've also got 8 new items to help your players survive the brutal cold - things like the Frostflower and the Potion of the Walrus.
We have 6 brand new spells with this release. Summon Dog Sled will help expedite your long journeys through the unfriendly tundra; while Snowball is the perfect ranged cold spell.
We also have you covered with new player options! Check out our latest player race, the Martimus. These polarbear-folk are the hardy natives of the region; known for being ambivalent to the cold and with tempers that can turn them from friend to foe in a fraction of a second.
You'll also get our latest druid subclass, the Circle of the Tundra! These druids are those who fully embrace the tundra - knowing that only the strong can survive the brittle cold that pierces flesh and spirit alike - to the point of encapsulating parts of their bodies in the ice.
You'll also find 5 new feats and 5 new deficiencies to help flesh out your player characters!
And lastly, we've got 5 battle maps ready for the included encounters (or just as easily used as standalone maps). We've got frozen lakes, icy forests, and even a mysterious frozen cliffside ruin.
