It’s one of the worst. I work in healthcare and they will look for any reason to cut people’s benefits that they pay for for years when they really need it, leaving them to be in so much never ending debt or to lose everything. Anyone who sees this or experiences agree that it’s unethical and cruel. They profit off people that they cut, keeping all the money they paid for coverage only to be left with nothing, have crazy debt, or not be able to afford necessary treatments, some of which are life saving and lead to them passing from not getting what they needed. That doesn’t mean he should have been killed, but I understand why the comments aren’t empathetic

2024-12-10 23:52:24 +0000 UTCas a professional counseling student, the short answers and reflecting back to the patient are in fact skills that we are trained to use. the session is about the client so focus is meant to stay on them. it helps with the client not relying on the counselor and working to make their own decisions to solve their problems. I will say, these are things that should be discussed with the client early on so they know what to expect and what they want to get out of sessions. it is great to hear that Alyssa is taking that initiative to seek help.
