I do agree that you should continue this franchise even though, yes #3 is not a satisfying follow-up and I dislike the story because of the very beginning but if you can get past that then the movie isn't horrible but #4 is much better than #3 but you should definitely watch #3 if you want to watch #4 and I haven't really seen beyond #4, I've always wanted to so maybe if you do continue then I will watch them with you guys. Again, I love your reactions and this one was no different. Keep them coming guys.

You're gonna see lots (LOTS) of comments on youtube about not watching #3 & #4 in this phase of the saga. And you'll also see plenty of comments about not listening to the naysayers, and to please continue on. Personally, Octavia and I agree that you shouldn't continue on right away. We aren't fond of #3. Although, objectively, on its own - it's not bad. Just, for many, it's not a satisfying follow-up for the masterpieces of Alien and Aliens. (Alien 3 is actually David Fincher's directorial debut. He's brilliant, but was just starting out and had a lot of studio interference. He went on to direct Se7en, Fight Club, Zodiac, Gone Girl, etc... Absolutely quality movies. But even if you haven't seen them, you get the idea - his movies are very dark in spirit.). We actually really enjoy #4, Alien: Resurrection, though. It's a fun, weirdly offbeat ride. It's not art, it's empty calories that are enjoyable over all. That's our take. We think you should check them out eventually, but not soon - keep that high from Aliens for a while. The next ones elicit a lot of very strong reactions in every direction.

Kylie's mind was just blown by the fact that Vasquez and Hicks were both in the Terminator series, she's freaking out. I loved this movie, I don't know how you guys keep giving us these incredible suggestions. I have a feeling they aren't going to run out any time soon

Very cool that from the get-go... Oliver recognized Bill Paxton (Hudson), and Kylie recognized Michael Biehn (Hicks). Going way back with James Cameron... Bill Paxton has a brief part in the beginning of 'The Terminator'. When Arnold first appears from the future... he approaches 3 'punks' for their clothes. (He rips the heart out of one, not Bill.) Bill Paxton is the one with blue spiky hair. (You guys forgot that you also saw him as astronaut Fred Haise in 'Apollo 13'. The one who wasn't feeling well while they were up in space.) Love it when Directors have go-to actors, even for smaller parts. Another one is Jenette Goldstein. She played Vasquez here. In 'T2'... she played John Connor's foster mom (who the T-1000 later copies... and uses a blade arm to stab the foster dad thru the milk carton). And in 'Titanic'... she was the Irish mom with the 2 kids who couldn't get out of the lower levels. And we see her bravely putting the kids to bed before the ship goes down. Vasquez, Hicks, and Hudson are just stand-out characters. So is Paul Reiser as Burke... just not in a positive way, lol. It's hard to choose a favorite scene because almost each & every one is so riveting. And keep cranking up. But... to pick one... I have to say that Lt. Gorman going back for Vasquez... and them clasping hands around the detonator to go out with a bang, on their terms... is the one that still really gives me chills, every time I see it.
