Matthew Perry's ONE YEAR LATER

Matthew Perry had plans to direct a movie called ONE YEAR LATER that he wrote and was going to film in LA in December.

While it's unlikely this one will ever get made now without Perry I thought I'll share the details on this project.

Logline: When JACK and FRANNY were together, they were inseparable - but their relationship was rife with dishonesty and self-sabotage. One year later, Franny has married a kind and loving man while Jack has been putting in the work to stay sober. Despite these developments, neither
can stop thinking of what they once had and wondering why they don't seem to be any happier than before. Forever drawn towards each
other, Jack and Franny face old problems and new as they discover that working on themselves could be the secret to finding happiness
together ...

Roles:

FRANNY: Beautiful, frenetic, passionate but aimless. She and Jack share an intricate past and a keen sense of humor. Following her
tempestuous relationship and subsequent breakup with Jack, Franny rebounds with a kind, supportive man who is everything Jack is not - and she promptly marries him. Despite the distance she has put between herself & Jack since their breakup, she cannot help but hope that her newly sober ex might find the emotional
maturity to give their relationship another go. But when she & Jack reconnect, Franny struggles to reconcile her feelings for him with the risk of blowing up her seemingly happy life - all for a guy who has hurt her before and may not even love her anymore. Admitting this all to Jack and finding her own path forward becomes more
difficult than she expected, and her old doubts - and Jack's old habits - get in the way when feelings grow too intense ...
