Male, late 50s, any ethnicity. Actor minimum height must be 6’. He is bear-like in size, tall and thick. His brown leathery skin indicates too much time spent in the sun and wind. With a furrowed brow and squinted eyes, EIRIK analyzes everything. He has a great scowl and a gruff manner. EIRIK is a hunter and fur trapper who used to ply his trade in the dangerous Forsaken Lands, benefiting from the lack of competition, but once he became infected by the disease known as The Severing, he remained. He is a tough outdoorsman who knows more about how to survive in the brutal Forsaken Lands than anyone. He wears a hardy but piecemeal set of armor he forged himself from scraps he has scavenged. He will soon succumb to the infection and despairs of ever returning to his family. He whittles and carves animal shapes out of wood and bone. He is very knowledgeable about the local wildlife, including the territory and hunting patterns of the beasts that spread the disease. As a hunter/trapper, he respects wildlife and exploits every aspect of the animals he kills - meats, furs, bones, organs. He is a gruff but intelligent master craftsman. LEAD

Female, plays 60s-70s (performers 40s-50s who can play older are ok). Her large bright eyes are open to wonder and excited by discoveries. Her expressions are animated, expressive, and earnest. She is eccentric but NOT crazy. She wears robes and comfortable flowing garb embellished with trinkets and arcane symbols. FOS is the last practitioner of an ancient mystic order that has struggled to survive since the fall of their civilization. Though most of the knowledge and history has been lost, FOS still celebrates the mystic orders teachings that everyone is linked together in a collective unconscious that exists in a borderland between the real world and a mental nether realm she calls THE FADE. To this end, FOS maintains a network of incense-burning monoliths throughout the region that she believes links people together and guides their joint mind-state thru The Fade. FOS also harbors a dark secret about the connection between gigantic beasts that roam the land and the last true prophet of the ancient mystic order. LEAD
