It has been years since i have had Denny's. Griwing up we would go to Denny's after church on Sunday. Also when my Grandpa came to town we would hit Denny's on the way out if town for a day of fishing at 5:00 in the morning. Thanks for bringing back those memories. It isnt the best diner but it isnt bad, fills you up...but for me it is the ambience...the hustle and bustle of the staff, the clanking of the dishes...and of course the chicken fried steak. (Btw a proper bite is a little of everything at once).

I ask them to put gravy on my hash browns. The gravy super easy to make. Make a roux with butter and flour. When cooked to color you want (not long for white gravy, just enough to get flour taste out) pour in some milk. Season to taste and thicken on heat to consistency you want.

Oh a little jam/jelly on a nicely buttered muffin oh oh oh ❤️

Susan Barefield

Did you guys even realize you were having your first American diner experience?

Todd Sonnier

So Happy you folks are having Fun, keep those videos coming.

George Jewell

Great, looking forward to seeing the video!

We have tried IHOP. :D that will be in the future 😃

I can't answer as to your personal experiences. Google "cream gravy" and see if the responses satisfy your doubts.

A gravy made from a roux (butter and flour, then add milk, and season to taste) has been called white gravy coast to coast everywhere I've lived since the 60s. But I've never lived in Texas.

"You have to try Denny’s”? Hmm… not my favorite, I’d pick IHOP over Denny’s any day but would choose a local diner over all of the chain breakfast places personally. Glad you enjoyed though. I first tried country fried steak in Oklahoma where it is a staple food and order it every chance I can now. You should try pancakes, waffles and French toast (my fav!) somewhere too. I like the taste of IHOPs pancakes. French toast is usually good anywhere. For a twist, dip the bacon strip in some grape or strawberry jelly or jam - adds some good sweetness to a salty food. Some people like some maple syrup on their bacon. Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip!

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ That phrase has been something I've heard in west Texas my entire life. (60+ years) Although sometimes at home called "milk gravy," which might be more accurate.

I've never heard it called "cream gravy."

Your travelng all the way to America and eating at Denny's is like my going to Italy and somewhere finding an Olive Garden and choosing to eat there. And the debate over Denny's vs Cracker Barrel is like i got into an argument in Italy over whether Olive Garden or Carrabbas is the best Italian food option.

I love Denny’s! Consistently good every time, anywhere, at any time of day 😍 Also—I somehow ended up in a world where I’m emotional watching people eat Denny’s. I’m so glad you are enjoying yourself my heart could explode 🇺🇸😍🇺🇸

Used to go to Dennys during finals week. They had student specials, and we would stay up all night in study groups there. Good breakfasts, but not fabulous... cracker barrel had better breakfasts

Laura h

We call it "cream gravy." It's basically the same as sausage gravy without, of course, the sausage. Lots of black pepper is a standard addition with CFS (Chicken Fried Steak.)

Denny’s was always the when clubs close place to go because they are open 24 hours here.

Juls

I try to avoid Denny's at all costs.

Robert Nelson

Deny's used to be open 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, in fact they were famous for not having locks on the doors, until they decided to close on Christmas day about 20 years ago, at which point they had to install locks on all their restaurants. There is not a Deny's near where I live so I tend to associate eating there with going on business trips, as we tend to eat at Cracker Barrel for breakfast when there is one nearby when on vacation.

Ike Stewart

For me, a pro move is to get extra gravy (called country gravy) and pour it over the hash browns and eggs. Usually I get an omelet.

Jon Perriraz

I haven't been to Dennys in a while. I like the moons over my hammy. Also grand slam.

joyann wesson

I'm not a Dennys fan, although it's a great "after the bar" spot to get something in you to reduce the hangover lol.

Amy B

Funny that we call them “English muffins”, but you just call them “muffins”.

And I was first

Fun video. You def liked Denny’s

David Zenner

Denny’s used to be a lot more popular in the 70s and 80s. They haven’t really changed since then.
