Pure Electricity (writeup)

I'm in the middle of working on the early pitch concepts for a new game project (I don't remember if I told y'all about this, my memory isn't the best) so the comic has been delayed for a little. In the meantime, you can bet I'll be drawing the main characters.
This is Serra. Her story is that she grew up having powerful, but uncontrollable, wild magical energy that her father suppressed via the apparatus on her right arm because the kids in the village wouldn't stop calling her weird. She is weird, though. (Riveting, I know. I'm trying to not spoil too much important plot stuff).
Her weapon channels her electricity through it to change from a quarterstaff into a quarterstaff... with extra attachments. It's still a work in progress but the more I look at it currently, the more I like it. I was potentially just going to have energy spark out the ends of the quarterstaff to form the shape of different weapon heads (like a hammer, halberd, or glaive), but I might just stick with this idea.
If you remember the print for April, that guy is Lhain. He's one of the guys that Serra eventually encounters who calls himself an assassin. You might wonder why he looks like a normal swordsman. Lhain thinks that assassination is when people die, and he makes people die with his sword. Therefore, he's an assassin.
Anyway, I'll hopefully have June to throw concepts for all of the other main characters around. Stay tuned! :D
