Hi everyone. Below is a guide on how to access AMD fluid motion frames in Assetto Corsa, and other games. This technology is available for every full-screen exclusive game that isn't using V sync or any frame-limiting technologies that can run DX 11 or DX 12. Read below, and get massive gains today.
Requirements:
Any AMD GPU 6000+ series.
Step one: Download the latest version of AMD's adrenaline software here:
AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition | Graphics Technologies | AMD
Step two: Downoad & Install updated graphics drivers in the AMD adrenaline software
Step three: Enable "Fluid motion frames" and "anti-lag" ONLY in AMD's adrenaline software
Step four: Disable un-wanted settings in AMD's adrenaline software
- anything to do with frame-syncing. V sync, G sync, Free Sync, AMD's enhanced sync, etc
Step five: Set up content manager to support fluid motion frames by going to
- AC video and turning "Full-screen" checkbox on and disabling "Frame Limiter"
- In CSP turn off "DXGI" Extension
- In CSP go to "General Patch Settings" and scroll down to optimizations near the bottom and uncheck "Limit frame time to improve smoothness" and the other two settings right beside it, use sleep instruction and the other one to the right.
Step six: Launch Assetto Corsa in Content Manager and then open "render stats" or "render stats csp" and make sure to find the option to disable frame limiter, and double check that the frame limiter is actually disabled.
While playing, use AMD's adrenaline software to monitor your frame-rate. Fluid motion frames will work in any full-screen game even though the application may not support it, and it will only work in DX11 or DX12 environments so do not try to force AC to run DX10 or vulkan.
Enjoy!
