For someone who doesn't "paint," it's really satisfying to paint in a background instead of actually just drawing it in for a change. I feel like this is usually my mindset whenever I have a more outdoors-y sort of background. It feels like it's just simpler for me to do it that way.

Another thing I wanted to try is to see how I felt by drawing a bonus panel instead of masking out a variant of an entirely new Asami to add the "squeeze" moment and see if that route was simpler. I think it ultimately was a simpler route to get the same result, but I do wonder how much of that thought is a result of still sort of mentally recovering from the couple of variant redraws I did on the previous Kitsune drawing. >v>;;;
