I've never actually clarified why Vee's powers grew after that moment! It wasn't just because Amara fed on her ;)

One thought I had was that, after the time Amara fed from Vee in purgatory, Vee showed increased power/control/whatever stat needed to make fire. If they continue to sleep together, will she level up enough to get wings and any other angelic powers that she was too weak for originally?

This was undeniably worth the extra week, and I loved every second of reading it. All our characters we've seen grow all together and happy just warms my heart. This series has become one of my favorites and I can't wait to see more of Amara, Vee, and all the others in this wonderful world you've created. <3

2025-09-28 05:13:15 +0000 UTCWhat a great way to finish Book 4 and the first Act of the story! I cannot express how grateful I am that you choose to share your stories with us. Unironically, with total sincerity, the relationship Vee has with Amara is the model I want for all of my future relationships. They aren't always perfect, and their past is filled with conflict, but where they are now is the best example I've ever seen in fiction of two people in love. This is something for all people to aspire towards if they don't yet have it already.
