SaS 52 Update

I come before you all today with dire news. Recently, I've discovered an unfortunate fact about myself: my mortal shell does, in fact, have limits.

Before I jump into the details, allow me to tip the bandage off as quickly as possible.

Suddenly A Succubus, Ch. 52, is postponed until next week.

From the bottom of my heart, I apologize for this delay. I'm immensely proud of my ability to write and post chapters at a consistent pace, and it's impossible to overstate how much I regret this delay. At the end of the day, however, I value a good chapter more than I value a timely chapter.

Some of you may have noticed that, almost without fail, every single chapter I've written for the last three months has been ~10k words. On top of that, my Reflection posts have been getting longer and longer as I've had more to talk about, and running this little hobby of mine also involves managing posts on fiction sites, social media, all that jazz. I've probably averaged 50k words a month ever since Daughter of Damnation started, and I'm honestly floored that I managed to keep up this pace as long as I did.

As exciting as it is that DoD 7 and SaS 52 are scheduled to come out in succession, it's impossible to overstate just how much writing that entails on my part. DoD 7 was 16k words, which is insane. It took me two weeks to write, and my Beta Readers only got it a few days before it went live to everyone else.

This meant that, when I went to start SaS 52, I'd lost my schedule buffer. I was already starting it a week later than usual, and this chapter is shaping up to be just as long as DoD 7, if not longer.

The sheer amount of story content contained in these chapters, when combined with various personal and professional conflicts that have sapped my free time, have prevented me from sticking to my ideal schedule. I'm truly honored to have found so many lovely people that read and support my work, and I would never forgive myself if I rushed out a half-baked finale to four books of buildup.

Suddenly A Succubus 52, the end of Book Four, will release on September 26th. There will be no release this Friday (September 19th) and there will be no Reflection on Wednesday (September 24th). Everything else on my release schedule will shift back a week as well.

Again, I'm terribly sorry for the inconvenience. I know you're all looking forward to seeing this book wrap up, and I can't wait to share it with you.
