To celebrate this release, I wanted to do a quick breakdown of what exactly has changed between the version published online for free and the version now available in stores. This way you know what you're getting when you purchase it!

First and foremost, the official release is a bit longer. The original draft of Book Two clocked in at 91,273 words. The updated version, however, adds just over 5k words, sitting at 96,304.

The grammar of the book has been significantly improved. It flows better, it's less repetitive, and the storytelling overall is more vivid. Some passages only got small improvements, some were rewritten completely to be more dynamic.

I've also added more story content. The main villain of the book, Sebastian Wellington, gets a bit more page time so that we have more chances to hate his entitled guts. I've also reworked a few other details, fleshing out the world of Aurelius University and taking the chance to add a bit more weight to the threat of the cult. I won't tell you exactly how, but I'm quite proud of it.

Overall, I made fewer changes with Book Two than I did with Book One. Why's that? Well, simply put, I was a better writer by the time I got to Book Two. Characters were more established, the world was bigger, and I felt more comfortable weaving together different plot threads.

When I first wrote Book One, I didn't spend much time establishing Tessa and Chloé, or showing what kind of friendship they all had together. With that in mind, it made perfect sense to add extra scenes at the beginning of the book so the audience had a better understanding of the dynamics of the friend group. We got to meet Tessa's polycule, see Chloé's gaming habits, and overall it was a better way to introduce them to the story.

Book Two didn't have as many glaring issues, thankfully.

I'm incredibly happy with the final version, and if you liked the story the first time around, I promise you'll like it even more this time.
