It's September? Already? Heck.
Other than the ominous dread of the inexorable march of time, this is actually going to be a HUGE month for the Patreon! If you're a paid member, you're about to have a lot of goodies thrown your way. If you're not a paid member, well, this might be a good month to reconsider ;)
Publishing & Autographed Copies
The biggest piece of news? Book Two of The Aurelius Archives, Circles of Chaos, is coming out September 12! That's right, it's less than two weeks away!

Pre-Orders for the eBook are live at the above link. Again, that's the eBook only. If you're interested in buying the paperback version, you'll have to wait until the official release on 9/12.
I'm also offering autographed copies of my books. If you're interested in an autographed copy, DO NOT buy from an online retailer. I will be handling all sales and shipping myself. The book will still cost $15, but I'm also charging shipping and handling fees. Since I'm not a massive online business, these fees will be higher than what you might expect to pay through Amazon or Barnes & Noble. I made a post about this several weeks ago with more details, and I'll be sure to notify all of you when I'm starting to put those orders together.

Another post will be going out shortly that describes what exactly you're getting with the published version of Book Two. Word count, chapter titles, and a brief hint at the kinds of changes I made when finalizing everything. Spoiler alert: I actually didn't change as much as I did with Book one.
September Chapter Releases
Before I jump into specifics, allow me to share my release schedule for the month.
9/5: Suddenly A Succubus, Ch. 51
9/12: Daughter of Damnation, Ch. 7
9/19: Suddenly A Succubus, Ch. 52
9/26: Tessa, Ch. 4 - Patreon Exclusive
Suddenly A Succubus Book Four, which is also the end of Act One, will be ending with chapter 52. Daughter of Damnation will be ending the week prior with chapter 7. This couldn't have worked out better if I'd planned it, and it's the perfect way to tie a bow on this act of The Aurelius Archives.
The two stories (SaS 4 and DoD) honestly work really well in conversation with each other. I can't say exactly why at the moment, so I'll have to ask you to trust me. Needless to say, it's incredibly fortunate that I have two stories ending on back-to-back weeks.
However, stumbling into such a clean ending has created an opportunity.
In the past, there haven't been breaks between books. When Book Two ended with chapter 26, chapter 27 was already queued up and ready to go. This isn't just the end of a book, though, it's the end of the first act of the series.
I've made no secret that, in some small part, I like to think I'm channeling old serials and network television in my writing. I like giving everyone a story and cast of character they can come back to week after week! However, unlike network television, I don't take breaks between seasons. Now, those breaks obviously exist so that cast and crew can create new content, take breaks, recover, and all that good stuff, but I like to think the breaks can sometimes be part of the appeal. Sometimes it's nice to step away for a little bit, to build excitement for the return of the story.
Fun fact, Book Five is going to start with a tiny time skip. It's nothing crazy, and nothing is going to change off-screen. However, I think it'll be fun to create a real life pause that reflects the time we're not seeing in between books.
But that's not all!
Not only do I want time to celebrate the ending of Act One, but I also want to give something back to all my lovely Patrons.
You may have noticed that the last spot on my release schedule will be chapter 4 of Tessa's side story, which will be the last chapter. Ever since starting up my second job, I haven't had time to work on this, and I regret leaving it hanging. As a thank you to all of my Patrons, I'll be taking the last week of the month to finish up this story, which will remain exclusive to Patreon.
So, what, I'm just taking a week off to finish up Tessa's story?
Not quite.
Patreon Exclusives
I'm actually taking 3-4 weeks off. Exactly how long this break lasts will be up to my Patrons! After I finish Tessa's story, I'll be writing a very special one-off story that, again, will be Patreon exclusive. What's that story? Oh, y'know, nothing crazy.
Just Vee and Amara's first date.
But that's not all!
After I finish up the First Date story, I'll be spending another week or two to write one-off stories voted on by my Patrons. In the coming weeks, as all my current stories start wrapping up, I'm going to put up a series of Polls to allow Patrons to vote on what they'd like to see written during this little hiatus of mine.
That requires having some ideas, however. And that's where you come in. I need story ideas for these one-shots!
Should our girls solve a small, silly problem around the school? Maybe they all sit down at a table to play D&D? Everyone drives to a quarry to train and spar together? What about a slice-of-life story following some of the background students that now know about magic? The options are limitless!
And, I should clarify, I do mean limitless.
I'm also willing to write Non-Canon stories.
Evelyn getting up to history hijinx? Alternate fantasy universe where Amara is a bodyguard and Vee is a rich noblewoman? Modern AU where, I don't know, they're all in a band, à la Kpop Demon Hunters?
There will be a total of two votes, reflecting two weeks of content that will come after Tessa Ch. 4 and First Date. Just to be safe, the second of these two votes will also include an option for "Start Book Five a week early," just in case y'all would rather get back to the main story rather than continuing to mess around with silly one-off stories.

Due to the presence of several weeks of Patreon Exclusive content, there will be a pause of publicly released content. Those of you reading on AO3, Literotica, or StoriesOnline will experience roughly a month-long break.
Closing Thoughts
As you can see, the next two months are going to be pretty hectic. There's a LOT happening, and I'm so excited to have a chance to give all my lovely Patrons a celebration of their support, and the story so far.
I'll also be running various Polls just for fun. Things like "Who is Best Girl," or "Hottest Sex Scene." This polls have no impact on future books, and there are no hidden meanings behind any of them. I just think it'll be fun to see everyone's thoughts on things now that we're a third of the way through the Series.
Plus, I almost made a Best Girl poll back in the middle of Book Three, and then didn't. I got really scared that Chloé would win and then you'd all accuse me of using the poll to pick who got portaled at the end of the book.

You'll also notice that, when all the silly fun is over, I'll finally be releasing Six Feet Over/Under. It's going to be my side project for quite a while, and will be posting during off-weeks in between Suddenly A Succubus Book Five. I don't know how long the story will be, but I suspect it might rival Blood & Chlorophyll in terms of number of chapters. It's going to be a lighter story, the chapters overall a bit shorter, and I'm really excited to finally share it with everyone.

1) We're all so lucky that Nyx's idea of a break is to continue writing. She deserves to relax and unwind in any way she wants. 2) Here's a bit of a weird suggestion for a story. Nyx has written sex scenes before. Tasteful ones that enhance the plot of the story. Forget class. Forget decorum. Forget the interests and expectations of the audience. I want to see Nyx write the most graphic, most sexy, most vivid description of exactly the kind of sex scene that gets her own motor running. No kink is off-limits. No act is too lewd. If Nyx finds it hot, it goes into this chapter. Maybe it's Amara and her friends getting freaky. Maybe it's Tessa with her polycule. Maybe it's Ruby and Ruby's love interest. Maybe it's Chloé discovering things about herself. The only thing this story must be is Nyx's own personal wish fulfillment.

2025-09-06 20:58:53 +0000 UTCThree ideas are what I got right now, two little bits from DoD and SaS and one alternate timeline idea. As I said in the comments of DoD 6 I personally would love a little slice of life action from the montage part of the chapter focused on the happy times Evelyn and Vince during those early months of 1939. For SaS I think getting a look into what Palesa and Elizabeth dreamscape meetings look like from their perspective rather than Amara’s, maybe even what wacky stuff happens when they are feeling a little more frisky in a realm where they can shape everything to their whims. Finally I think my #1 want for a non canon alternate timeline is what if instead of vines coming out of the portal to the Wilds when Amara and Tessa first discovered it, a werewolf came out. It manages to escape from the the girls and then get off the campus, but only after encountering Nick and biting him… I really want werewolf Nick :)
