Personal Update from Steve

Just a quick update on my end. You probably won’t see a video from me until mid next week as I currently don’t have power/phone or Internet services where I live. 2 days ago we had some wild weather, apparently a once in 40 year storm with winds hitting 120kph. The high winds were sustained for several hours so the damage across the state was extensive.

Unfortunately a lot of homes have been destroyed and one person tragically lost their life.

I’ve temporarily relocated my family to my wife's parents house as they have power and Internet (though I can’t really work here). So we’re all okay and our house is okay (perhaps more importantly the shed laughed in the face of prolonged high speed winds). We also avoid flooding as we’re on top of a large hill.

Disappointingly half my backyard has been whiped out with dozens of large gum trees destroyed, flattening the surrounding garden. It’s a bit devastating given all the work and time that went into it, but that’s how these things can go, we’ll just rebuild it. It could have been much worse, so I’ll look at the bright side (plus I can make a lot more garden vlogs now).

Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know what’s going on and why you might not see much content from me over the next week or so. I was considering heading to Tim’s house so I could work there, but I think I’ll stick with the family and help out there and start the clean up.
