I love this movie so much! My parents treated me similarly when I was growing up so this is a comfort movie for sure.

I’ve been to more funerals for folks who had no discipline at home than ones who got the whooping, learned the lesson and moved on

This movie was an extreme example but back in my day when parents did hand out the whoopings, we didn’t have school shootings and all the other mess that goes on today and even the dumbest person in the class knew how to read and write and basic math. Take a good look at things nowadays

It also made me want to have telekinesis powers growin up 😅also Miss Trunchbull reminds me of a pg-13 version of Aunt Lydia from handmaids tale
