On the way, Gordie Lachance (Wil Wheaton), Vern Tessio (Jerry O'Connell), Chris Chambers (River Phoenix) and Teddy Duchamp (Corey Feldman) encounter a mean junk man and a marsh full of leeches, as they also learn more about one another and their very different home lives. Just a lark at first, the boys' adventure evolves into a defining event in their lives.

I can never watch this movie too much, it never gets old. ❤️ RIVER PHOENIX!! ❤️ That is some serious talent that was gone far too soon and too young. His brother Joaquin (Leaf) Phoenix is a phenomenal actor in his own right, but River was the brighter star at the time. I can't begin to imagine how much these two amazingly talented brothers would have given us had River lived. I am still heartbroken over his loss all these years later. 💔
