I'm not downing cops as a whole but there are some very petty power tripping type out there and I've ran into a few in my life. Literally all they had to do was let this guy get some food and crash there for the night and he woulda been gone the next day. Instead the ego maniac sheriff with the "You have to do what I tell you" power trip had to show that he's the boss here. Then you get to the station with the psycho abusive cop and you set off this guys PTSD. I love how this movie highlights how badly many Vietnam vets were treated when they came home bc a lot of people didn't agree with the war. Idk how they didn't understand that the soldiers weren't the ones behind the whole thing. When he said "Someone wouldn't let us win" he was referring to the government employing a strategy that simply kept the war going rather than trying to end it. They deserved better. I've been called some nasty things online for having served in Iraq and Afghanistan so I can only imagine how they felt. Stallone is so talented. That scene at the end where he broke down is some next level acting. The rest of these movies are vastly different than this one but all of em are great though. I also really hope you start doing the Rocky movies after these. Those are some all time greats. Thanks for this one India. You never let me down.

2022-06-27 03:38:55 +0000 UTCWhooooo!!!!! Hell yea. These and the Rocky movies (Which you must do) are some of my favorite movies ever. Stallone is so good at acting, writing, directing and producing. The whole package. He wrote the Rocky movies and rewrote the screen play for Rambo to make it fit better with the times right after the end of the Vietnam War. Imma watch this here in just a bit.
