fyi finally rewatched the season 2 finale with you-and still agreed with the rating. The first season finale was perfection. This wasn't even about the Doaks dying part. The pacing of it was off, and it dragged on wayyyy too long. Especially with Lila. Who I still intensly hated because a lot her actions were irrational/and irratating. And so she made Dexter become more irrational-and also shows what I mean on what if he became unhinged. He didn't kill James, but he was teetering that fine line of REALY thinking about it
