one of my FAVORITE season finales ever! So glad you are catching onto these characters, and who they are! Like picking up on the fact Deb falls for guys quickly. I do think some of that IS actual dad issues-of Harry constantly closing her off, and spending more time for Dexter. That wasn't meant to happen like that, but still so heartbreaking!

great season! glad to be exploring this with the black sheep. i still dont know how to feel about dexter yes hes misunderstood and has had trauma but i cant agree with taking justice in your own hands by killing people. you're literally ending someone's life eek and also what if dexter is wrong and kills an innocent person no one is 100% perfect and i know its just a show but in real life someone like dexter would for sure make mistakes and kill innocent people "accidentally"

What a finale! I suspected that Dexter and Ruby were possibly related when in the beginning of the reaction India said that Dexter's mother might have something to do with the connection. Didn't think it was true though lol I love watching shows like this so can't wait for season 2 ❤️🔥

In evolutionary terms psychopaths were often useful in defending the tribe from threats, killing invading tribes or dangerous animals. One didn't have to be a psycho to do those things of course but it came easily to psychopaths.
In modern civilised society such things are generally not required apart from war etc so serial killer types have to have secretive outlets.
At least Dexter was taught to direct it to do good and save future lives, and these were evil people that had beaten the system and so never received punishment for their atrocities, so in a way he was capital punishment.
I'm not saying serial killers can't help themselves so it's justified, just that in some cases like in ancient times they can be useful.

As soon as we saw the brother in the flashback it clicked eh.
Such a cool episode. The moment when Doakes appears and says "surprise muthafucka!" was hilarious, and it turned into an internet meme.
I hope it's not long before you start season 2 :)
