2023-08-30 17:24:00 +0000 UTCI picked this movie for 2 reasons. 1. I work at an assisted living facility and there are 5 younger residents that survive with SBI (severe brain injury). They have outbursts similar to June. It's amazing how far we've come as a society since this movie was made. Better understanding, better medicines. 2. I have a 28 yr old daughter with mental challenges. She has never been in love or had a boyfriend. Covid really put a wrench in things. She didn't leave the house for 3 years. Her communication skills really suffered. She recently started at a new day program and is THRIVING! I only pray that she finds a compatible love interest like June and Sam.
