Here is Episode 2 of the second season of the Patroncast!
In this one, I talk about:
- 00:46 The KDE Roadmap for 2022, because there are some interesting things there
- 10:00 An open source dev intentionally breaking their libs to piss big companies off, and the problem of open source funding
- 19:14 The new studio, how it broke my toenail, and how it looks really good (IMO), but has surprisingly bad soundproofing
Here are a few pictures of the whole studio, just in case you're interested. Yes, it's just a small office. Yes, calling it a studio is probably weird.

2022-01-12 19:11:53 +0000 UTCNo, the Yeti is working well, as long as the gain is all the way down, and I'm super close to it. It's, surprisingly, my hyper cardioid mic that still picks up some echo, even with the gain turned down. I'll have to see if I can use a carpet to try and reduce reverberation :)
