I got glasses in first grade. Before they realized I needed glasses, I was falling behind learning to read and couldn’t color in the lines to save my life. After I got glasses, I went from remedial classes to top of my grade. My mom felt so bad she didn’t realize I needed glasses before that. I get not wanting to wear them back in 80s-90s. I got a lot of bullying after I started wearing glasses.

2024-09-17 15:31:14 +0000 UTCI wore my glasses until they got broken. I could not wear the replacement pair. Many years later, my mother broke her glasses, and tried mine, since they were just sitting there. They worked for her, because it was her prescription.
