The flow begins slowly at first - a trickle, and then a wave. Before you know it, the canyon is filled with fire, and the air is thick with smoke and embers.

Originally this was not going to be a phased battle map, but as I got further into the project, I found myself wanting to make that extra push more and more. So, here you go - a battle map of a river of molten lava in six phases!
I've been meaning to work on a map with a stream of lava cutting through the battlefield for quite some time now, inspired by one of my favorite films of 2022 (I won't name the film in question, to protect folk from potential spoilers). It's almost a year late, but hey - I finally got to it!

My maps are made with assets from Forgotten Adventures and AoA (bolstered with assets of my own making here and there), and they usually come with day/night, edited/unedited, and light/lightless variants, plus JPEGs, WebPs with transparent backgrounds, and UVTT (DD2VTT) files for Foundry VTT if the map features buildings or interiors.

Let me know what works for you! I imagined if I was to run a game with it, I'd just wind up dropping each phase in as a new tile each time the phase progressed, though I'm hoping there are more elegant ways to do these things! D:
