Swamp Encounter (30x30, 200px)

I started this map on my Mapping Monday stream on Twitch this week - I decided to take the opportunity to experiment a little, using terrain types and plants from the Forgotten Adventures catalog that I've neglected in the past in favor of simplicity. I'm pretty happy with the results, honestly. I've provided a version with bare trees and with trees bearing full foliage, as I couldn't decide between the two myself.
I don't think I'll start using all of these assets and techniques for my Curse of Strahd maps (as I do think it best to keep the maps reasonably consistent in style), but for maps outside of that, I think I may have to start experimenting a little more.
Working on this map also inspired me to begin work on a short encounter that I'm hoping to pair with it - I can't promise much (and I have a track record of starting encounters like this and never finishing them), but I'm hoping to share it with you all once it's ready! Naturally, it will be horror themed, but I think we all saw that coming.

My maps are made with assets from Forgotten Adventures and AoA (bolstered with assets of my own making here and there), and they come with grid/gridless, day/night, edited/unedited, and light/lightless variants, plus JPEGs, WebPs with transparent backgrounds, and UVTT (DD2VTT) files for Foundry VTT.
