The Haunted House (40x40, 200px) - Ghosts of Saltmarsh
Added 2022-06-26 18:12:19 +0000 UTCSome of you will have seen me working on this map during my Mapping Monday streams on Twitch - it's taken me a while to put together, due to the sheer amount of detail I'm trying to work into my maps these days. I also had to change how I approach my maps to make sure I wouldn't go weeks without a release - working on this one for a few days, switching to something else, and repeating!
Well, I hope the detail was worth it - I honestly think this might be one of my best. I've included tokens you can use to hide the collapsing floor in Foundry, a token for the trap door, as well as tokens for the boat in anchored, adrift, and sailing states, should they prove useful to you!
As is often the case with larger, more detailed maps, the UVTT files were outrageously large, so I've had to remove all detail from them, leaving only walls and lights. You can fix this in Foundry by importing the JPEGs or WEBP files as the background image for those scenes!
When I first started DMing, I was working towards running a nautically-themed campaign for some friends of mine with whom I used to play Sea of Thieves - I was likely going to start with Ghosts of Saltmarsh, and then move on to homebrew material. Unfortunately, that never happened, but I'm glad I'm finally starting to work on maps for the adventure.
I don't know how many maps from the module I'll work on, but I hope to tackle at least a few - especially once Forgotten Adventures release their ship assets, which will hopefully be in the near future!
It was nice to take a break from Curse of Strahd with this one, but I'll probably dip back into Barovia for a little bit before I venture out again - there are still so many supplements and random encounters to map out!

My maps are made with assets from Forgotten Adventures and AoA (bolstered with assets of my own making here and there), and they come with grid/gridless, day/night, edited/unedited, and light/lightless variants, plus JPEGs, WebPs with transparent backgrounds, and UVTT (DD2VTT) files for Foundry VTT.
