Body in the Woods (30x30, 200px)

When the party first arrives in Barovia, one of the first things that's likely to happen is the discovery of the body of Dalvan Olensky, who is carrying a letter from Kolyan Indirovich. If the party linger long enough here, the wolves whose tracks can be spotted on the ground around his corpse return, and combat ensues.

So, I decided I should probably put a map together for this encounter, and I decided to experiment with including variants that feature fog effects, though I'm unsure of the results. If you like them, let me know - otherwise I don't know if I'll continue with them. I've also included variants without Dalvan's corpse, as well as a WebP token of his corpse so you can place it wherever you'd like, or in another map entirely if you'd prefer.

I hope you like it!

In the interest of transparency, I feel I should probably also mention that after almost four years together, my girlfriend and I split up very recently. I'm hoping to continue working on maps in an effort to keep myself busy, but it may not always be easy, so I hope you'll bear with me if my output is a little less frequent for a little while. I hope it won't be affected, but I'm still attempting to find my bearings after a rather dramatic change, so it's hard to predict.

My maps are made with assets from Forgotten Adventures and AoA (bolstered with assets of my own making here and there), and they come with grid/gridless, day/night, edited/unedited, and light/lightless variants, plus JPEGs, WebPs with transparent backgrounds, and UVTT (DD2VTT) files for Foundry VTT.

Hi Gaston! The body is available as a token in the WebP files - since the JPEGs can't have transparent backgrounds, all the transparent layers (roofing, tree tops, upper floors, etc) are usually stored under WebP files. The WebP files are also more compact but don't suffer much quality loss, so they might be worth a look! :)

Hey is it all doable to get the body as a token ?

Gaston
