Added 2018-04-26 07:09:56 +0000 UTCMy last painting used a 3D background, in this drawing I wanted to show some shortcut techniques when painting backgrounds in 2D. The current work in progress took about an hour. Next I'll be adding the maple leaves and figure.
I just bought a small Japanese maple earlier today, and it's been on my wishlist forever. . I'm so happy I had to draw a big one too :D
