Isabelle's Doomed Double Feature

New Doom's out so we are of course posting a couple of Animal Crossing pictures to celebrate! Happened to have one of these sitting mostly done and we kind of wanted to also try the other so rushed to get them out as a double feature, hope everyone enjoys.

May 2025 Fanbox Poll - School's Out

We're not necessarily doing polls every month from now on, but we do generally want to try to when we have a fun idea for it. In this case we weighed a few options before settling on school-themed ones, what with it being the time of year when that's about to let out. Wakeup Call

Hey, what better time to post an Earthbound picture than right after Mother's Day? ... I guess right before would've been better but we didn't think of it at the time. Though really this one has been sitting waiting to go up for a long time now, kind of kept passing it up in favor of other things. Sort of been one of those ones just hanging around the backlogs for awhile.

Equivalent Middle Ground

Heh. Yeah, this is a bit of a series for us, with Edward interacting with various other regressed FMA heroes, in this case Envy. Very cute to be seeing it here. ^_^

Filing Error, Page 13

Been a little frustrated with how down to the wire and late in the month the past few submissions on this have been, and how last month only had one, so I wanted to get another out early this month. Will try and do another within the next week or two; part of the hold-up was the idea I had felt a bit imposing but ended up effectively splitting that between this page and the next one so got a lot more manageable. Am pretty happy with how this one turned out.

Erika's New Perfume, Page 21

Heheh.... Okay, yeah, after this we're moving the story forward but we honestly had SO much fun goofing around having Erika trying to figure out her life post-perfume. Led to so many funny gags with her discussing things to the audience and especially her mental pictures here. Very simple page too, easy to draw.

Heh. Yeah, trying to go for an accurate style on Ivy and Harley. Not much to say but very cute pic of the two of them ready to get up to no good in Gotham.

Annakatan Commission - Spy X Babies

Heh. Looks like Anya's particular mission needs a bit more oversight, so Yor and Lloyd have been assigned to go to school with her. Extremely cute little number, this. ^_^ This was a commission; the commissioner first requested that Lloyd be a girl, buuuut we kinda preferred him staying a boy, so we did both versoins for him. Daylight Park - Candy, Page 25

Heh... Yeah, of course Irene had to get back to her precious little girl, so was fun getting this page out. In particular really dig the results on Mitch's expressions and body language as he buckles under carrying her. A lot of fun.

Pre-Champ Page 5-1 (Night Light)

Knew definitely wanted to either get one of these or another Filing Error page out before the month was out and this was the one we landed on! Will try and get to another of those soon but yeah, kind of just not been an opportune month for doing much of that unfortunately. Am pretty happy with how this one turned out at least. We kind of took a step back and did a lot of modernizing of the ones of these we had sitting in prepping this one so probably will be updating these a bit more frequently...

Annakatan Commission - Comeuppance

Heh. Yeah, this kind of felt like an appropriate end-of-month kind of update, happy with how it turned out but is a bit on the niche side. Helps we have a lot of other Koiwai stuff waiting in the wings anyway so look forward to that. Funny enough we actually probably will post one more bonus thing before the month's out but no guarantees on that. Guess keep an eye out there.

I Don't Think It's Any Big Deal

Heh, naturally couldn't pass on posting a tie-in to the FLCL anniversary tomorrow. It's a show we both love and we just happened to have this picture sitting so definitely feels appropriate. This one actually sat in progress for a long, long time just kind of half-finished, and only recently happened to buckle down and wrap it up, so feels nice getting it posted. We have at least one more picture with it sitting in-progress that we'll probably finish up for the occasion but probably be a bit bef...

Despair and Hope in Paradise

Hey, we had our Uchikoshi, need to also get some Kodaka in there! This picture sat half-finished for a long, long time before we actually only pretty recently wrapped it up, feels good to get it submitted and quite happy with how it turned out. Might remember we did a couple of group pics of some of the Danganronpa 2 cast waaay back when, and this is kind of just a revival of that concept. Might do more like this at some point, do some better shots of the characters who were in those earlier on...

Not a super surprising result since it's certainly a distinctive title, and an obvious reference if you're familiar with the source material, but still, rather happy with this one coming out on top and hoping it goes over well. And here's our second place! This one was fun to do, kind of just some goofy nonsense with Cloud. I'd say we should do more Final Fantasy but we've actually done it a fair bit since this one, top of my head we've got at least three more pictures based on the series waiting in the wings. Stranded in a Strange Age

Heh, this one was pretty fun. Kind of been wanting to do some stuff with some of the PLA cast for awhile and since the whole premise of the Pokemon stuff we do is time getting all distorted and weird anyway... Admittedly only Cylenne has dialogue largely because the premise of the picture kind of started at just, "Her and whoever else," but eh, can definitely see doing more specific stuff with the others or other people in this cast at some point.

Babies Are Incompetent

We got our best turnout yet on this most recent poll, which was a nice surrpise given the whole point was that it was basically just guessing blindly. We really appreciate everyone's enthusiasm. Erika's New Perfume, Page 20

Heheh.... Yeah, this was a fun page to get out, in particular with Erika coming to grips with the depths of her new position. This's it for the little mini-arc of her examining this subject in so much detail. Funny, the Imagine-Spot of Erika being babysat by Su from Sitter Sitting wasn't in the original script, we threw it in just to punch up the visuals. Heh, April 20th is both Fire Emblem's anniversary and Lucina's birthday so felt like a perfect time to post this one. Helps we have a lot of Fire Emblem sitting anyway, including another Lucina picture, so yeah, probably going to be a steady flow of that for awhile. Heh, this one was pretty fun to get out, kind of just some good solid fun with Dinah and Mitch introduced to the proceedings. Naturally had to know Candy would eventually find herself in this particular position eventually, fortunate it waited until after she was out of danger, eh?

Princess's Powerful Poofy Plotting

Heh, this one's been sitting for a long, long time just kind of overdue for submission. Gave it a quick once-over to make the colors more vibrant but didn't want to get too last in the weeds on it so mostly just submitting it as it was. Might maybe do more with the series at some point if this goes over well but nothing else waiting in the wings with it at the moment.
