Actual rescue party: part 3.1

And now it's Iris' time to shine!

----

This week there are 3 more images to the actual rescue party storyline (one of which is the WIP I shared 2 weeks ago). I am actually starting to regret doing a complex interior scene. That shit takes forever and just doesn't look as good as basic outdoor desert/wasteland or underwater stuff.

I am also working on the next part to Marine Biology, and I am planning to continue with Slugworm trouble. Regarding slugworm trouble, I am c...

I've had a few comments about MEGA not cooperating with some of you. So in case the MEGA archive does not work for you, you can try this one. I'll keep this updated as well (even though google drive is a pain to work with).

Elizabeth should pay better attention to her HUD. Proximity sensors are there for a reason. And now it's time for the heapod to play with her...

This week's update has 4 pages in total. You can find the other three in the archive (the link has been updated). I hope you enjoy.

Actual rescue party: part 2.3(2)

Just the alpha, asserting dominance

----

I felt like some bits were missing between 13 and 14, so I've added some images to fill in the gap. I've added a bit of color to the spider, and some detail in the background in some of the images that will help with the overall timeline. Then along with page 17 (for which you can find the finished linework in a zip in the WIP folder), this will conclude the shower scene. Part 3 will focus on Iris.

Finally, I've added clear webb...

Hexapods are actually pretty friendly, inquisitive and easily distracted. Just entertain it for a bit, and it will forget why it was checking out the human trespassing on its breeding grounds. It probably wont appreciate being played once it realizes...

Four new pages are added to the marine biology story and concludes the first chapter of the story.

Marine Biology: prologue

Here's Elizabeth explaining why she should receive more funding to steal sentient hexapod babies and inject their mutated remains directly into people's veins. For science. She is planning an invivo demonstration, but needs more eggs for that.

----

A quick one today, loosly inspired by events at work the other day. I also thought it'd be fun to show her when she's not out at sea. She'll get a proper story update this weekend.

Actual rescue party: part 2.3

The alpha just couldn't resist... But don't worry, unlike the humans, this guy is pretty aware of its surroundings.

----

Finally, most of what I intended to post over the weekend. I just uploaded two new images for this storyline to the archive. There should actually be a third image in this scene, but so far I only completed the linework, mostly, so it will be a few days at least before that one is ready.

I also uploaded clear webbing variants of pages 9 and 10.

Marine Biology: page 1-3

Just another day at the office for Elizabeth. I guess this is one of the perks of being a marine biologist somewhere tropical.

----

Considering things are still quite SFW, images are posted here and in the archive.

I was also doing the transparent web versions of the shower scene in actual rescue party. These edits wil probably take a bit more time, so expect an update on this in a day or two. Actual resucue party will get some story progression in next week's po...

Actual rescue party: part 2.2

It's a good thing she picked up space yoga some time ago, it might help with her current situation.  Either way, she's probably still going to be quite sore later.

----

Two new works can be found in the actual rescue party folder in the archive in in pinned post.

So now the alpha needs to decide whether to get busy right away, or if it's going to secure the whole transport first, just to make sure there are no interruptions....

Marine Biology: concepts

As promised, the concepts for the new underwater story.

Starting with the critter: The monster is a 6 legged (armed?) squid type monster, inspired by the Alien version of a trilobite, but actually it turned out a bit different. I'm thinking it's called a hexapod/hexapus, for obvious reasons. The main body of a typical adult is ~50cm in length, with tentacles of ~2.5/3 meters. The critter is a slightly translucent blue, and blends in very well in its environment.

They are amo...

Pest Control: Final update

For the first of this week's updates, I want to share the final bit of content of the pest control storyline.

First, The Dark Oncer (you've probably seen him around here) was kind enough to turn Pest Control into a kind of dynamic sequence with sound effects, movement and everything. I already really liked the story but all these added effects really elevate the story. You can go over to here and check it...

Actual rescue party: part 2.1

This week we have three more images to complete the shower struggle scene. She may not yet be fully cocooned, but she wont be able to put up much of a fight by this point (although it was not much of a fight to begin with).

The next one to use the shower is going to be in for a surprise.

And don't worry about the spider's hard work going to waste in the shower, the webs are waterproof. Special soap is needed to dissolve it, and the last of it just went down the drain a...

Actual Rescue Party: part 2

In this week's update, I finished up the WIPs I showed before, including one more. While Iris was busy cleaning the spiderling guts of her minions, one spider (the veteran from pest control and rescue party) managed to get inside and is currently making a mess of things

As usual, the new works can be found in the story's folder in the archive in the pinned post.

Now, since Lena's story ended, I am looking for a replacement for another slightly longer running story. I th...

Slugworm trouble: part 2

The slugs are finishing dressing her up in something more appropriate. Escape is still possible, just very very difficult.

----

I added an opaque variant of pages 2 and 3. The next part in this story will probably be ready in a couple of weeks, or maybe later. But don't worry, there are also a few other stories that will get updated in the mean time.

I have also added WIPs of the next part of Actual Rescue Party. It's in the WIP subfolder of the Actual Rescue Party sto...

Slugworm trouble: part 1

The monster of the month is the slugworm (sorry, naming things is still hard), a smallish slug like creature with a soft fleshy body, no bones, no teeth. They live in colonies of hundreds of individuals, in nests just below the surface. They prefer warm dark places, for themselves and for their eggs.

The critter has 2 ways of bringing down prey, both involving lots of quick drying rubbery acidic slime it spits out of the three appendages on its head. If the opponent is up t...

A short story connecting Iris and her team to the events of pest control/resuce party. The 2 crewmates are still unnamed, which means they are probably redshirts.

The new images are in a new folder in the archive. But since there's nothing weird happening here, I think it should also be safe to post it here. I hope.

This is also a test for me to see if I should do more complicated backgrounds like interior spaces a...

Giant slugs: variants

Based on some of your suggestions, I added two stomach inflation variants of image 21 or Lena's little adventure. It might work for the story as well; who knows what the slug is doing to her in there.  It's a small edit, but looks nice in my opinion.

I'm working on Iris and her team's first encounter. The crew of the APC still has 2 not yet designed characters. I already heard a few suggestions, but if anyone has any other preferences about their appearance, do tel...

Giant slugs: part 8

So this it how Lena's solo adventure ends; ingested by the dumb slug monster she failed to kill, stuck in a semi-solid blob, forced to feed it. Slugs aren't even particularly tough opponents in this world... She is sort of rewarded for her hard work though. She has some entertainment, and it's nice and comfy in there.

I hope you enjoy!

Lena's mostly submerged so I added variants without slime in case you want to see some more details. That and I thought it was a shame t...

Iris

Just a little update of Iris' design and a sketch of the APC type vehicle she uses to get around. She can't carry all those drones by herself after all. She has 2 companions with her, they are not in the sketch, probably inside the APC. I'm still thinking about who they are going to be; new characters or ones we have seen before that somehow made it out of their last encounter relatively ok... I don't know yet

Either way, the next story update will be Lena's, probably in a week or so. View Post

Giant slugs: part 7

With the stomach slowly filling up with slime, it doesn't look like she's getting out of this one without help. At least the slug is keeping her entertained.

Three new images can be found in the Giant Slugs folder archive. It has been more than 2 weeks since the last update, I know. I havent been able to draw much lately because of work, but that'll change soon. I should be able to put out content more regularly starting in August. Fow now, I hope you enjoy

Monster hunter class concept

As I am working on Lena's continuing ordeal, I got an idea for another class of monster hunter: the drone operator. So here's a basic drawing of that concept.

She uses a swarm of flying drones (5-10), each armed with a coilgun capable of turning anything up to an adult giant spider (about the size of her torso) inside out with a single shot. Drones work autonomously or can be  controlled manually. The goggles feed into the drone's variety of sensors, so nothing can hide from ...

Tier price change

Ok so lately I've been thinking about changing the pledge price.

Initially the idea of this patreon was to get maybe a few hundred extra per month in the long run, for the stuff I draw, just as a little extra for the things I draw, but it clearly got out of hand. Now, I see how much you guys have given me over the past few months and feel like it is way too much. I feel like this needs to be changed, I can't keep asking so much, especially in periods when I am not able to draw as much a...

Here's the fully rendered version of last week's WIPs. I tried a couple of different approaches to rendering clear slime and started over a few times, but somehow the simplest method I tried seems to work best.
