Hello dear patrons! It's been a long time since my last post; sorry for that. Anyway, I wanted to post an update on how Zenith of Sorcery is going. Even though I still haven't started posting chapters for it, work on it has continued and has borne fruit. I have made a story plan I'm satisfied with and have started writing test chapters. I am going to try producing something concrete by the end of next month, so if things go well the story might officially start next month.

Happy Groundhog Day everybody! I bring you gifts of new chapters on this very special day!
I have a confession to make. I did not really finish the entire story. The epilogue still isn't finished, so there is one more update I have to make after this.
The reason I did this was because:
a) The chapters I did write outright end the plot of the novel. Not having an epilogue is annoying, but shouldn't diminish people's enjoyment of the ending too much.

I think I can say with some certainty now that I work better with a concrete target date as my goal... even if I don't actually meet it. My writing went a lot better than it did previously - the chapter that had been giving me a great deal of headaches is half-way done and I have a solid plan so there should hopefully be less rewrites and discarded sections.
My dear readers are doubtlessly less pleased than me with this result, since they still don't get any new chapters and I've delaye...

So, I'm clearly not going to be able to finish the story by the end of the year. I thought I would write a lot more during the holidays, but I basically wrote nothing at all last week. However, I don't want to keep dragging this out for much longer, so I'm setting a concrete deadline for the next target: 26th of January 2020. This should be more than enough time to finally finish this, but the actual concrete deadline should motivate me to stop being lazy and actually write.

Just posting to let you people know my editor is having other problems again and cannot edit the chapter on time for Sunday release. He has said he will have time to look over the chapter on Monday evening, so I'm delaying the release for one day until then. Sorry for that, especially since I already delayed the chapter so much already, but I have little control over this.

I'm sure you're all getting a little angry at me, despite all the encouraging responses, but I will have to delay chapter 101 again. This time I'm delaying it for two weeks, both to be sure I won't fail a deadline again, and also to give myself a few days to relax and cool off. As you can see, I'm having issues with writing this chapter. We are very, very close to the ending. I've been writing and deleting text for a while now, and I think I need to take a few days to rethink my plans for the chapter before proceeding, because this way isn't working out for me.

My editor has told me that he has an emergency this weekend and will absolutely not be capable of reading through my chapter until Monday evening at the earliest. Therefore, the chapter is delayed again, though not by my fault this time. I don't think it would be a good idea to publish a chapter that didn't go through any proofreading and checks. If you saw my chapters in their raw form you'd lose all faith in me. :)
