1 Week Delay
Added 2020-01-25 12:06:20 +0000 UTCI think I can say with some certainty now that I work better with a concrete target date as my goal... even if I don't actually meet it. My writing went a lot better than it did previously - the chapter that had been giving me a great deal of headaches is half-way done and I have a solid plan so there should hopefully be less rewrites and discarded sections.
My dear readers are doubtlessly less pleased than me with this result, since they still don't get any new chapters and I've delayed things yet again... but what can I say? I'm glad I have such a patient audience, willing to wait literal months for me to finally wrap up the story.
The new target date is February 2nd, one week from now.

2020-02-02 21:50:19 +0000 UTCIt's alive! IT'S ALIVE! IT'S ALIVE! It's Aliiiiiii~ve..... Gonna get pizza for that momentous occasion.
2020-02-02 21:19:44 +0000 UTCIt fails to satisfy the "works both in MM/DD and DD/MM form" criteria.
2020-02-02 18:29:53 +0000 UTCWhat about 12/02/2021 next year?

2020-02-02 17:47:58 +0000 UTC1010* years! Even more amazing!
JDG
2020-02-02 15:56:34 +0000 UTCOf course, if you need more time, it's ok!
2020-02-02 15:37:07 +0000 UTCNot only is today perfect from a groundhog day perspective, but also this date is a rare eight-digit palindrome when written 02/02/2020 - the only one of its kind this century that works both in MM/DD/YY and DD/MM/YY form. The last time this happened was 11/11/1111 - 909 years ago. The next one is in 101 years and the one after that is 03/03/3030. Talk about planetary alignment!
2020-02-02 15:28:28 +0000 UTCIn my experience generally between 6-10 pm Eastern time (US/Canada).
2020-02-02 15:17:58 +0000 UTCThe question on everyone's minds!
2020-02-02 15:17:21 +0000 UTCIs today still the day? What time did the chapters usually come out?

2020-02-02 14:16:36 +0000 UTCIf possible try to add some visuals in the published book or e-book.

2020-02-02 13:49:32 +0000 UTCI demand that the story be made into a open world vr rpg of unquestionable quality by CD Projekt Red!
2020-02-02 11:49:45 +0000 UTCI demand that the story be made into either a series of movies or a TV show, with further spin-off media of questionable quality, and that Disney or Universal Studios make MoL-themed rides and overpriced merchandise.
JDG
2020-02-02 09:44:04 +0000 UTCOnce the story is done, I'll look into publishing options. Not promising anything, since I don't know what's possible in that regard, but you may be able to buy the story as an actual book at some point.

2020-02-01 20:15:21 +0000 UTCI hope you are not feeling too stressed about this. I want the chapters, but goddamn, I can wait. I’ve waited through much worse than this for worse payoff. Also, I demand to be able to buy your books. If not hardcover, then at least in electronic format.

2020-02-01 14:35:29 +0000 UTCThis might be true, but I'm not really thinking how to maximize my revenue here. It's the ending. The ending chapters are meant to be read together to have them land well. Separating them into a chapter a week would ruin their impact, in my opinion. So yeah, I'm willing to sacrifice potential income to do this right.
Domagoj Kurmaic
2020-02-01 11:36:23 +0000 UTCHave you thought about spacing out the chapters by a week each? It might not be as palatable for patrons to give you a big lump sum all at once as opposed to paying each week for a new chapter.

2020-01-31 20:05:34 +0000 UTCYeah, a user up above already pointed out it's Groundhog Day. I had no idea until it was pointed out to me.

2020-01-30 15:47:11 +0000 UTCIf you were American, I would have believed that you were delaying it on purpose.... because of the holiday that it lands on.
2020-01-30 15:36:00 +0000 UTCIt's certainly a mark of how good your book is that so many people are willing to patiently wait for it to be properly polished to...if not perfection, but as close as you can come...If it was just a junkfood-type story we'd definitely be harassing you for more filler chapters.

2020-01-27 15:29:29 +0000 UTCAs long as you haven't abandoned it, and still care about writing a satisfying ending, I'd be happy to wait all year. I'd rather wait another year for a story I can confidently recommend to my friends than read something that was rushed.
2020-01-26 20:13:23 +0000 UTCTake your time!
2020-01-26 07:27:30 +0000 UTCTake your time! Writing something you're satisfied with is most important. This release is a big deal for us, so I imagine it's momentous for you.

2020-01-26 03:48:39 +0000 UTCWhat better day could there be for releasing the finale to a time loop story than on Groundhog Day!
2020-01-26 01:34:41 +0000 UTCPlease don't feel the need to rush, Im content with waiting for a great ending rather than the alternative.

2020-01-25 19:42:29 +0000 UTCAnd that book was?

2020-01-25 18:32:25 +0000 UTCMore, like they stopped caring altogether.
2020-01-25 17:06:08 +0000 UTCMy only hope, that you are fed, warm, healthy, happy and proud of whatever progress you've made in that time frame. =)
2020-01-25 17:00:47 +0000 UTCAfter watching GoT, we've all seen what happens when an artist rushes the ending. Your fans will wait for you.
2020-01-25 16:41:39 +0000 UTCI've been watching and reading Mother of Learning for a long time now. A week here, a month there, none of it hurts. Just write the best story you can write and don't let a bus hit you before you finish :)
2020-01-25 15:52:07 +0000 UTCI agree

2020-01-25 15:39:33 +0000 UTCWrite on, sir!
2020-01-25 15:16:36 +0000 UTCI just read the worst finale on a book, so if anyone says any stupid shit about the delays, I will shove a brick up his anus and force him to go through the same torture of reading the destruction of a series at the end. Please take all the time you want. I'd rather have quality over quantity, or in this case, punctuality.

2020-01-25 14:28:26 +0000 UTCGood to hear that it is going forward :D even better to hear that even so close to the end you still strive for quality rather than speed. All the warm wishes!

2020-01-25 14:14:30 +0000 UTCYou' can't rush greatness, MoL is easily the Best web series I've read.
Carlos De Los Santos
2020-01-25 13:50:15 +0000 UTCI can't speak for others, but in my opinion since the ending of a novel is one of the most important parts (if not the most important one), it's more than okay to avoid rushing and take the time you need until you've managed to write something you're fully satisfied with.

2020-01-25 13:25:34 +0000 UTCThanks for the update update. I've been rereading the whole series (actually listening to it) trying to time it so it ends on Sunday, and I'm a bit behind, so the extra week will be perfect!
2020-01-25 12:54:16 +0000 UTCWell at least you've clearly made progress now. I can wait a bit longer for you to get it right, just hopefully not too much longer. I'm looking forward to it.
DiabolicalGenius
2020-01-25 12:46:48 +0000 UTCI admire your dedication and honesty! And I'll wait another year if needs be. (Please don't)
2020-01-25 12:40:37 +0000 UTCIndeed, I don’t read MoL because of the update schedule. I read because it’s good!

2020-01-25 12:19:52 +0000 UTCIt's really satisfying to hear the details you shared about how the process is going and furthermore that you update us on your situation in a timely way (usually ahead of the release date). I'm glad to hear things seem to be falling into place a little easier and good luck this week. 🐨

2020-01-25 12:18:49 +0000 UTCTake the time you need. I think it was George R.R. Martin who said, "Nobody ever said 'That Hemingway, he sure could meet a deadline'."
2020-01-25 12:15:39 +0000 UTCI am thankful for all the delays delivered on schedule. Keep them coming.
