Hello, my darlings! ♥️ Finally had some time to write this because I am sick (again…. my constitution is that of a perpetually ill Victorian child, I swear)

Starting this by saying that me and my content aren’t going anywhere anytime soon, so rest assured of that! Really just wanted to be fully transparent about the current state of things on my end and how that affects my content.

So when I first started my YouTube channel back in September, I didn’t have as much going on, other than my day job and some voiceover gigs here and there. Even though I was still uploading once about every two weeks, it was easier on my end to write and record scripts, since the amount of free time I had was fairly significant.

Then November hit, and I got contracted with a particular company that’s since led to some pretty crazy opportunities. Upgrading my recording setup has also brought in a slew of paying gigs that honestly has left me a little gagged, not gonna lie

So nowadays, I’m a bit more all over the place. I work my full-time day job every weekday, and at least once or twice a week after work I go to my separate job if they call me in. Then I come home and record for my other gigs, some of which are the type that are for the long haul and often strenuous. Between all that, finding time to write my scripts and record them, make the video thumbnails and write out the synopses, while also finding time for myself to just chill, has been… a feat.

All this to say, I’m very devoted to creating quality content for you all, and it’s something I’ve really come to love. I don’t want risk of burn-out to detract from the content I create and make it less enjoyable, for either my audience or myself. Perhaps this all would have been easier if I hadn’t chosen from the beginning to write my own scripts, but I don’t regret that choice at all, despite being more time-consuming.

So I just wanted to write this as a general update, so we all kind of are on the same page with what to expect with my audios!

The rate at which I put out content probably won’t change. Lately it seems to be either two or two-and-a-half weeks between each upload, which I don’t foresee being altered, as I think that’s a pretty comfortable uploading rate for me. And of course I will still be making sure I upload 2-3 audios each month on my patreon. Because of a current gig I have that is lasting until mid-July, 3 uploads a month will most likely not be as regular of an occurrence for now.

So all in all, there’s really no huge change! Originally I had been thinking about possibly alternating between 3 short audios one month and 2 longer audios the next month, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized I wouldn’t be able to commit to that type of game plan with how exhausted I’ve been lately.

I am hoping that one day I get to a point where I can quit my day job, which would make managing my schedule SO much easier and would enable me to devote so much more time to my asmr content. For now, though… I am one person with a lot on her plate, doing her very, very best :’)

I do once again want to reiterate that I really appreciate everyone’s patience with me when it comes to how often I put out content, and for the continued support I am shown here. Making this type of content has been so rewarding in a lot of ways. You are such a lovely community of people 🥹 I never would have thought doing this type of work would be met with so much genuine kindness and care, and I’m more grateful to you all than I can say!

As mentioned on the last post, we are still on track for the next uploads! Next one is a patreon exclusive commission (based off of.. a Valorant character!?) and then part 2 of Uptight Boss… after that I really want to do a best friends to lovers scenario :)

I don’t have too much to say about this one! Did some more experimentation with having water sounds all throughout, I think overall it worked well.

Originally when I was writing this I thought it would be a good two-parter, but then I had other ideas… so it may possibly have more parts ! Perhaps that one poll I did on tentacles may come into play somehow? Hrmm 👀

Smaller budget, much like this one, a courtroom drama… it didn’t make a resounding splash at the box office like we had hoped, and the reviews were mixed, but I do recall it being one of my grittier roles. As an actor, it is always a dream to be cast for something outside of everyone’s expectations… to be able to explore a role outside of the genre the media and public have all but chained you to. *sighs heavily* Yes… the critics simultaneously begrudgingly praised my performance and yet belittled my choice to “go out of my comfort zone.” *scoffs* As if that’s not what acting is.

*pause* You really are a fan, then? Well. I apologize for not taking your comment seriously. Not that it would have changed our interactions prior to now, but it is quite nice to know there are people out there who still genuinely enjoy my filmography. *pause, smiles* I see. Jumping off the walls, huh? I would never have known, you’ve been nothing but professional. I’m glad you were that excited to co-star alongside me… and honored that you view me in such high regard. Perhaps thought she could do damage control before I noticed. A recent development, I take it? *pause* Yes. So everyone must know. No wonder our director was acting so peculiar today. She normally is so brusque, but today has been treating me as though I’m made of glass. It’s been most irritating. And don’t even get me started on the crew- *pause, looking at her younger co-star* You haven’t treated me any differently. Why?

As a little context, the location of the scene is in the green room of the university’s theatre department building, later in the evening. *the listener reveals she is aware that MG is failing biology. MG’s tone sharpens* how… the hell… do you know that? *pause* You overheard me outside the student union talking about it on the phone. Great. Just… great. Ok, fine. Yes, I’m on the verge of failing biology. So sorry I pushed off taking a required science class until my last semester because, unlike some of the posers in our major, theatre is my life and I wanted to focus on it first and foremost. Don’t you dare judge me. How was I supposed to know the only science class that worked with my schedule in my last semester would be the most impossible one to pass?? Screw you. It’s not like I had any other options.

*this part is a bit overdramatic* …Oh, I see. You’ve ascertained that getting an A on this project may be my best chance to pass the class and graduate on time. So now you’re going to use this as leverage against me, huh? You thought, “Oh, she’s forced to rely on me now, so how about I put her completely at my mercy?” You’ll make me do whatever you want, like some sicko, and if I don’t, you’ll go running to our completely unforgiving professor to tell her I did nothing! Begged my parents to put me in all the classes that would make me a triple threat, because I knew even then that the stage was my life, and I wanted to excel. I have put blood, sweat, and tears into this.

And you… here you are, excelling without even trying. So smart and pretty and effortlessly talented when you take command of the stage. Of course I wanted to knock you down a peg. No, let me say this. You stole the lead role from me in our freshman year, do you remember that? God, I wanted to throttle you with my bare hands. That was my dream role. And your audition blew mine out of the water. You were so damn nice about it too, all sweet and genuine when you told me that I had done really well. I hated you so much for it. It’s petty, I admit, but it’s what made me decide to make things harder for you socially.

Hello my darlings! I realized I have basically been radio silent since Saturday haha, but hey we all survived January!! Here’s hoping February treats us right ♥️

To speak candidly, I have been… extraordinarily busy this week 💀 Have had live sessions upon live sessions, both in studio and remotely, and there’s still so much I need to do from now through the weekend... This is definitely not a complaint at all, I’m VERY happy to be booked and busy; I’ve worked super hard to get to this point in my professional career and it’s nice to see my efforts yielding results! But ooh boy at some point soon I need a small break where I’m just. Not in my booth at all for like a full day LOL

I want to make sure you guys are kept in the loop with where my headspace is - I’ve been very slowly working on the script for a college mean girl audio (as I decided to push back the actress audio a bit), and I think the script for the mean girl audio probably won’t be done until the end of next week. I had originally been aiming for a mid-week release but I don’t think that’s currently feasible 🤧 I’m sorry!

But I will make sure it’s worth the wait, trust. As much as I want to get this out sooner for you guys, I think the quality would suffer for it with how all over the place I am right now, and I’m a firm believer in quality over quantity. Thank you for your patience!!

Hello, my darlings! ❤️ I am back again with a new audio for you :) This one is very spicy, in a different way from my previous audios, I would say. Bordering on being almost, but not quite, guided instruction. Worked very hard on it for you all!

This character was a unique one to play… the juxtaposition of voicing someone who is very calming and outwardly kind, while deep down not really being a good person ultimately… it was fun haha. I enjoy voicing a character who is a bit more layered than they initially appear, but in such a subtle way that you almost don’t notice. In fiction I find these types of characters very interesting.

This character’s demeanor was heavily inspired by Gillian Anderson’s psychiatrist character in Hannibal - which I highly recommend to those who have not seen it. It is a darkly artistic show that is often a masterclass in acting!

There is a bit of very subtle manipulation in this one (which will be more apparent in the nsfw portion). …Society attempts to convince the average citizen that everything comes second to their job. That anxiety should be tamped down when it comes to our work lives; otherwise we are deemed weak and incapable, and any burnout we experience is met with derision. I find this to be quite unfortunate. I have always been a firm believer that work should exist to support our lives, rather than become our lives.

All this to say: attempting to do everything in your power to control how a certain scenario plays out, when said scenario cannot be entirely controlled due to circumstance and outside influences… this can do more harm than good to your mental state. Often it comes down to relinquishing control and allowing yourself to say, “I did what I could, and I am proud of myself. Now I simply let the chips fall where they may.”
