February Page Dump 2/4

As I said in a previous post, I'm moving this weekend so things are a little crazy for me at the moment. By this time next week I should be all settled in at the new place and updates should be a little more regular.

I was so wrapped up in packing for my move this weekend I forgot all about the page dump. A day late but here you go!

Back to the Office

Home from the holidays and back to work. New page of The Sprawl is complete and beginning work on a freelance comic job.

This month is a bit off, I'm packing up to move and trying to get more freelance work going to cover the medical bills from my holiday stop in the ER.

Ursa Major Awards: Recommended Reading Submissions

Hey everyone,

It's that time of the year again and for the next five days they are accepting reading recommendations over at the Ursa Major Awards. If you've been enjoying The Sprawl, I encourage you to send them an email at  recommended@ursamajorawards.org  to tell them to include The Sprawl in their list of recommended Graphic Stories.

As always, thank you all for supporting The Sprawl.

Sincerely,

- Snowdon

SPOOKY MAGICKS

Another bonus post. I've been teaching myself Clip Studio with the intent of eventually moving comic production from Photoshop to CS. My plan is to start by using it for quick and dirty comics, see just how fast I can crank out some messy, but still decent looking, black and white comics in it.

Bonus Bonus

A little extra bonus this month, doesn't count towards the regular patron bonuses.

One of my paid jobs right now is a small press comic. Here's one of the quick character design/style sketches I knocked out as part of the preliminary work.

It's a low-pay job so it won't be top quality, but I plan to have some fun with it. I plan to start that either this weekend or next week after I do a test page for another publisher.

The Sprawl: Year 4

With today's post we begin the 4th year of The Sprawl. I honestly did not expect to continue the comic this long and would not have been able to without your support.

Thank you.

January 2017 New Year's page dump! 4/4

There we go, the first month's pages for 2017.

I'm planning to be home this weekend to get the December page breakdown to the $5+ patrons and I should have some news regarding commissions and new projects I'll be working on in the coming year before the month is out.

Happy New Year!

2017 is the year of the cock, so of course I had to make a picture for it.

December 2016 Updates

Like I said at the beginning of the month, I'm spending the holidays visiting family and friends. I'll be home either the first or second week of January and back to the usual updates.

The January 1st page dump will take place as usual, although expect a hangover delay. If the page dump isn't on the first, it will definitely be on the 2nd.

Comic updates on the Sprawl website are automatic, so I don't expect any delays there.

Thank you everyone for your support this year, I look for...

I'm On a Train!

Or I was when I took this photo. It was a bumpier train ride than I'm used to so I didn't get much done.

Thank you, everyone, for supporting The Sprawl this year. We've got a lot more on the way for 2017. New characters. Old characters. Twists, turns and surprises.

Hope to see you there!

December Artist Update

Hey everyone,

2016 is almost finally over. Can't say I'll miss it. New Year's will also mark the beginning of the fourth year of The Sprawl, so that's exciting. Three full years and three full chapters behind us, a brand new chapter already begun.

I leave in a few days to visit friends and family for the holidays. I'll be on a train most of the day on the 15th so I'm not sure if that will delay the monthly photo. If so the photo should be up within a day or so. I don't expect any interru...

Watch Me Work!

I forgot to mention, if you enjoy seeing how the comic gets made, I stream whenever I have the chance on Picarto:

https://picarto.tv/SNOWDON

I mostly stream on the weekends, and I sometimes do random sketch or commission streams where I draw things other than The Sprawl.

I usually announce streams on twitter but you can get automatic email notices every time I start streaming by creating an account and following me ...

I hope you continue to enjoy The Sprawl. LOG:04 will be the most ambitious chapter yet.

Consider supporting The Sprawl with your vote. You can vote for us at TopWebComics once a day every day per IP address/device. The more visible The Sprawl is, the more readers we pick up. The more readers we pick up, the more support we have to continue producing the comic.

Also, January 1st will mark three full years of The Sprawl. We've been average about a LOG per year despite each chapter having more pages than there are weeks in a year.

Living Conditions

For this month's photo, a shot of the unfinished part of my apartment. To save some money so I can focus on the comic, I'm renting a friend's basement which we're converting into an apartment.

So far the bedroom is done and the bathroom. This is the rest. COZY.

Original Cyberdemon Design

Way back when I first started cranking out concept art for LOG:02 I already knew how the arc was going to end and doodled this design for the Sibo/Demon.

Of course, it was almost 2 years later when I finally got to that part of the story so the design got updated.

The End of LOG:03 9/9

And so we come to the end of LOG:03, but not the end of the story.

We've learned that the orb contained something evil and now that evil is loose upon the world. But who put it there? How could it have been there for more than a thousand years if the colony has not been on the planet that long?

And what's going to happen now that it's free?

And so we head now into LOG:04...
