Ayari escaped the giant ice block by burrowing underground in the lava; erupting out in a safe location. No sooner than he resurfaces but a giant ice ball full of spikes comes racing towards him.
A well placed volcanic eruption blasts the ball upwards, sending debris all over. Little does Ayari realize but Rastus is hiding in one of the jettisoned spikes...
Now it's time for close quarters fighting!

As previously stated, The Final Dragon has begun production and will be illustrated by another artist. I figure if this is going to be the finale to the CORE Accursed Dragon saga it should go out in style.
The artist's name is Taehwan Kim and I love the fantasy style he brings to the story. You can see in some of these sample the detail is extraordinary!
There will be lots of returning characters and a few new ones as well in this high stakes adventure against the forces of Despond.

Currently at Accursed Dragon the comic is reaching its climactic conclusion to the second book of this trilogy (making it the 5th book in the whole series). The cover is still in the works and it follows the "Dragon" theme by being titled "The Infernal Dragon".
You may have known this already, but what is new is the next story's currently in production and will be titled "The Final Dragon". This has a couple of meanings:
1) The last of the three dragons will be introduced.

Despite the large, crushing ice block falling right above him, Ayari has a good chuckle and gracefully falls back onto the ground. He doesn't touch it, though, as instantly the surface is turned to molten lava.
Rastus' ice hits the lava and the steam which erupts outward is so powerful that it deforests the surrounding area.
Ayari's lava creeps outward creating a hellish landscape for the dragon battle...

Things have slowed down a little with our comics due to the summer months. Brandon needs a vacation before getting to the VERY INTERESTING conclusion of Banished: Volume 2. Denton is still toiling away at XZone Strikers Episode One and I'm drawing up the dragon-filled conclusion to the latest Accursed Dragon story.

Blasting through the tornado of flames, Rastus' ice penetrates the clouds.
As Ayari continues to stoke the inferno, he sees the massive block of ice now falling from the heavens directly above...
Bootlox was surrounded, so the only option for him was to fly Rak's (refurbished) ship and meet the gang at their location. Some items of note:
- This ship is not 100% repaired but it can fly. Since it was built using parts from Hacos' vessel it can generate a gate for their escape.
- This marks the end of the current chapter and Banished will be on summer vacation. The next chapter is the conclusion of Book 2 and will commence sometime early September. You'll definitely see previews of ...

This page has been sent off for coloring, but by the time it returns I'll be in Reno, Nevada exhibiting for BLFC. Then I'll be free from conventions for a little bit! Woo!
This update has Ayari and Rastus catching up a little bit, considering it was about 127 years since they last saw each other (maybe over 500 years in Ayari's case). The powerful assault by two dragons also erupts as Paul n' Shane see a cataclysmic twister of fire and glaciers of crushing ice emerge from the forest below.

Our robot friend is brought to pieces! Everyone screams to stop, but Zeiss is certain this is an act of mercy. She says it wasn't her that put "The Call" into their programming, but some other group snuck it in to wield control of them. She simply took advantage of it before anyone else could.
The brain module is destroyed and Zeiss can't have any witnesses. Rak is up next.

Rastus has returned and is far more powerful than Deacon can handle. The time for masquerading as a human is over and Ayari takes his true form as the red dragon.
Spoilers: The circumstances that allowed the dragons to escape Despond's world left Ayari and Rastus heavily damaged. While Ayari survived his injuries, Rastus had to take a human host in order to live.

Sorry for the delays, but I'm back from the Calgary Comic Expo and can start catching up on posts!
