Comic Teaser

Hey guys!

Tracy released the teaser of our new book, that means I can post it too.

It’s a fun one. Each page is taking a bit more time than I would like, but I think it’s worth it.

They actually flipped my artwork on that cover, because I fucked up and drew her armored arm on the wrong side. I would have fixed it, but Tracy went for this instead. I’m fine with it ^^

Weekly Update

Feeling better… I still have some mild symptoms, but over all I’m fine. Still in isolation until next Sunday, but that is a small price to pay to keep my people safe.

I did use that forced downtime to give a second chance to The Witcher’s games. I briefly considered starting with the first game but 2 min in and I knew that game wasn’t for me. So I installed Wild Hunt instead. I’m having fun, although I am now stuck in a sewer level where the creatures are too strong for me, no...

Weekly Update

I haven't done much so far this week.

I’m under the weather… it looks more like a cold than covid, but I quarantined myself anyway. I’m also a bit depressed since Christmas has been canceled… again... and I was really looking forward to it. So, I took a few days off to take care of myself.

Since I don’t want to end on this downer: Listen to me and go watch the after credit scene of Hawkeye. I spent the last 5 weeks hoping this would be released :D

Quick Tease

It's been two weeks since you guys got anything from me, and I'm starting to feel guilty about it. So I got on my knees and begged Tracy to let me post a little tease of the comic I'm working on... I'm kidding, she was super cool about it ^^

The book is coming along quite nicely and the art is very good, if I can say so myself. This comic should be published in January.

Weekly Update

How are you doing my beautiful people?
I had a rough weekend, very tired, not sure why... but a good week.

I'm working on page 3/8 for Tracy's book. There's a lot of details so, it takes me a bit longer this time around, but the story is fun and the pages look great, so I'm happy.

I wished I could give you more than this. But I'm on a really tight schedule on this one. She wants to release it in January, and Christmas is in the way :P so my plan is to only work on this until co...

Weekly Update

Hello everybody!

It was my birthday this weekend. I didn't do a big party or anything. Just a small supper with my family. The cheese fondue was horrible ( I don't know what happened, we fucked it up somehow ) but that was nice.

Tonight, I'm supposed to go out with a friend but he chocked on me and now I'm wondering if I still go see the podcast/show we where going to alone or not.

Weekly Update

How are you doing my beautiful people?

I’m all right. Had the wind kicked out of me last Friday by the flu and pneumonia shots I got earlier this week, but other than that, I had a great week. I took my goddaughter out for her 18th birthday over the weekend. I took her to the theater to see an absolutely awful play ( sorry girl! ) and then we had the family waiting for her in a great restaurant. Fun night.

This couple was planed to be in the Halloween pic. Actually, it was where the idea came from ( too much NerdSync lately :P ) but sine I went with live action, I didn’t think it fitted. Despite the numerous live action movies ( Scooby Doo 2 is awesome ), in my head, Scooby Doo is a cartoon and this is where it need to be.

How are you doing beautiful people?
I ain’t bad. But I had a slow week.

FINALLY!!!

Including the smaller creatures, that's 57 fully rendered characters going at it.

It is a little bit of a mess, I'll admit. I realise now that I should have placed a center piece to draw your eyes on ( Harley chasing Robin in the "Where's Charlie" piece, Dot Matrix in the "Girls of sci-fi" ). That is a lesson I'll remember for next time.

Still, I like it. And I hope you will too.

I wasn't feeling good today, so it took me a LONG time to get to work. I had actually given up when I started re-watching the last few episodes of season 1 of Tiger King  ( the kind of show I usually listen to while working) and this is when the urge to draw finally started to manifest itself. And when I finished season 1, season 2 was online so I kept working. It is WAY passed my bed time right now ( about 8 am ) but I managed to complete today's piece.

Weekly Update

Hello everybody

Despite the rumors, I am still alive. I had things planned for Sunday and Monday. I just got home, it’s almost midnight so I don’t think I’ll be working tonight.

Tomorrow I plan to work on the last couple for the late Halloween pic and I’ll complete it on Wednesday with the last little details.

After that, I’ll be working on pinups until Tracy hit me with the script for our next comic I’ll be working on in December.

This was suppose to be the last grouping, The plan was to have one last single character but I have a bit more space left than anticipated so, one last couple is coming.

Suggestion needed

Because of my miscalculation with "Darkness" I need to change the last grouping ( I wasn't in love with it anyway ) for a lesbian couple. I was thinking Danna Barret from Ghostbusters but I can't think of a partner for her and I can still change her if you guys think of something better.

So... I made a mistake.

Darkness's headpiece ended up hiding way more stuff than I intended, I scaled him back ( it's been years, but I remember him being massive) but still miscalculated my positioning. Hence why I'm showing if here with the empty background. I'm not entirely sure where this grouping is going to end up in the final piece.

Right now, I'll continue as is but might reshuffle some characters in the end.

"Nightmare on Elmstreet" is one of the few horror series that I really like, probably because dreaming as always been one of my favorite thing in life. I especially like part 1,3 and West Craven's New Nightmare that is WAY underrated in my opinion. As for "Dream Worriors", I still apply what I learned watching it when I have a nightmare and turn it into an action pack dream instead. I never bothered with the reboot.

Hello my beautiful people!

Still haven't seen "Dune", "Carnage" ( which, I'd honestly be ok to pass on ) or the new "Bond" and now there's "The Eternals" and "Last Night in Soho" ( I adore Edgar Wright and that trailer was just fucking insane) that I absolutely need to see. I'll have to wake up early and spend the whole day in a theater sometime soon.

But first:

There's only 4 groupings remaining and a bunch of little monsters to add on, so let try like hell...

I was at the drive-in for the release of the first Gremlins... I was a scared kid. I didn't have the guts to watch the screen the whole movie.

Years later, I was at the drive-in for the second movie. I didn't like it. There were some major technical problems when the movie started, so when the fake celluloid burned, the whole drive-in started to honk and scream... that was brilliant :P

Now a day, both movies are part of my top ten of the best movies ever.

When I first started to work on this, the homunculus wasn't in the pool of characters I was about to use. I had never heard of "Don't be afraid of the Dark" but once someone mentioned it, I had to give it a look...

I'm such a wimp... I can't bring myself to finish it. LOL. I love what I'm seeing, but something about a kid in danger makes it way too real for me. I mean, the only reason I didn't run out of the theater when I first watched "The 6th sence" was because I was on a date :P

The craft is one of my favorite movie ever. It's super cheezy, but I'm always having so much fun watching it. Also, the french class is so funny to listen to when it's your native tongue. I mean, it's been 25 years, I've listened to it numerous time, I've read the transcript, and I have yet to understand what Sarah is saying that makes the teacher say: "votre français est formidable"... it is NOT! :P

Weekly update

hello my beautiful people.

Nothing to say. For the second year in a row, I didn't do anything for halloween :'(. While small parties are autorised, most of the poeple I know still preffer to keep by themselve as long as we are knee deep in this shit.

I've been feeling a bit down for a few weeks, i'll admit. I miss my friends. I'll need to do something about that.

I'm more than half way through.

I was too old to get into Buffy when it came out, it looks like a dumb teen show fir the young snobbish adult that I was. It took Firefly to get into Whedon and than Doll House, Angel and finally Buffy.

I'm not 100% happy with Buffy's face here. It looked fine in the linework, but once colored she look a bit dimwithed. There are expressions I'm not good at :P

I'm not a fan of horror movies. I never finished "It". Only watched critics of the "Leprechaun" series. And never watched any "Return on the living dead". That said, I spent a LOT of time in video rental stores growing up, and the poster for ROTLD3 always turned me on, so she was critical for this piece.
