As you guys know, I ADORE most of MOTU including the 3 Netflix versions we had. The only version I'm not in love with was the weird one in the future. So this is not a judgement on "Princesses of Power". I just though it would be funny :P

Happy labor day! It is technically a holiday... But I'm back to work on my scene. "If you love what you do, you never work a day in your life" isn't that what they say? I don't always feel like this, but on this scene, I do.
Last week's health scare is way behind me and I'm pretty sure it was due to my alimentation. Getting back on the program seems to have done the trick. I'm feeling great, by the way.

Spent a lot of time the last two days, drawing a bunch of characters to inhabit the scene. I'm having a blast, but Clip Studio is having issue saving the file, so I started to brake it ut in small packages ( that was to be expected :P ).

Yeap, I'm redoing Bumblebee entirely. I am keeping some of the original lines to save time, but I REALLY wanted something MUCH closer to the gen 1 design.
I'm also changing my plans a little. This afternoon, as soon as I'm done with him, I'll start adding in some cartoon characters, even if I was planning to color the vehicles I have first. It will be easier for the scale and the eyes fix if I don't wait until the end of the process.

I know I said I wouldn't be showing that part but... Here's what I have so far.
I gotta say, I'm having a blast. Even if I had to resign myself to tracing "Lightning McQueen" because I just couldn't figure out his jelly beans forms. Luckily for me, the movie poster had the exact angle that I needed. The rest is referenced as usual, with as much pictures that I could found. As well as some 3D models. I started to use those with the "X-wings" in the latest comic.

I'm about to leave for the weekend, but things are coming along quite nicely, I drew the linework of about a 1/3 of the starting vehicles so far... So there still place for me to change thing based on your suggestions. The Ecto-1 is definitely getting in there. And I WISH I had though of Lower Decks before. Sadly I can't imagine having the space for a shuttle, but the characters are definitely going to find a place.

Man, that was a long time to spend on one issue. I've got tired of it at least twice while working on it, but I'm pretty happy with the result.
Tomorrow, I'll have a to spend time making sure all the text fit the new narrative, format the dialogue boxes ( there were some changes made by mistake about midway through the issue) and in the dream sequence, and finally make sure Rey has her branding on for every page (I forget some time :P)

I could have probably completed this one late last night, but I got tired pretty quickly yesterday for some reason (not enough proteins the day before, I think). In time like these, I prefer to rest early instead of doing it half-hearted. The result is always better if I'm rested.
