I actually suffered a bit when I had to kill the color saturation for the sake of a flashback but at least I get to show you guys how some of the colors looked before those adjustments! Believe it or not these two panels (that readers probably spend less than 2 seconds on) took about 1 month of work on and off between building the 3D model, getting my colorist to paint it + my final adjustments. Over all, I'm really really happy how it turned out (I had a very specific image in mind for this chapter) but boy was it stressful! XD
FYI: I did not build the model (a family member kindly learned sketchup just to help me UwU) but I did spend hours compiling tons ...

All I will say about this is that the other day I asked my colorist to design me the freakiest demon mask she could think of... and boy does she deliver XD. We played around with multiple color schemes, including this awful goblin green until we finally settled on a red and white combo. (I know it looks blue in the above panel but I assure you it's just the shading).

Update: I am currently 5 hrs away from my home. My family basically mandates that everyone take a 2 week beach vacation every year so here I am, slightly toasted but not enough to keep me from hauling my 22 inch Cintiq with me! All this sand and waves is a breath of fresh air. Now that I'm all set up, I'll make sure to doodle plenty of half naked SZ chars in their swimsuits! XD

Hey guys! Here's a quick asset render to show how I use 3D assets in my comic.
If you guys didn't know, I absolutely HATE how 3D models can look when integrated with 2D art, so I spend quite a while rendering them to look consistent with the comic (seriously I think they're some of the ugliest things).

I just felt the need to draw these two with their foreheads glued together T_T, Also I don't know why she's crying but let's just say it's because there's too much sun in her eyes, poor girl.
