So, in conjunction with another project currently underway, I'm finally putting together that art book (art, mini-comics and tutorials collection). I've got some things to show you all soon in relation to the other project, but I'm torn on the cover design for the art book and so I thought I'd ask your opinions.

I've been able to get Dwight to play with a string toy and the laser pointer, which seems to have helped put him at ease in my presence.

These are some yet to be publicly released posters. (They aren't directly related to Lackadaisy, of course, but I have been taking on extra work like this for a Lackadaisy-related reason - to help fund the beginning stages of something I can't wait to tell you all about. Soon!)

Little update on the injured feral cat who came for the holidays and needed a leg amputation. He seems to have acquired the name Dwight in the meantime. Heh. I guess the marking on his head made me think of that high-domed, parted-down-the-middle hairdo.

Some patron art I got rather carried away with. It's a sort of a crossover piece with The Master and Margarita, a novel by Mikhail Bulgakov. As a dark comedy/satire written in the 1930s in Russia, it's somewhat amazing that it managed to survive the rampant censorship of the Soviet regime. For those unfamiliar with the novel, if you enjoy Lackadaisy at all, you'd probably take a shine to the pistol-packing demon cat Begemot (Behemoth).

Hey,
I'm SO sorry to cancel on such short notice. I just caught a feral cat with a broken leg in a humane trap and I have to get him to the emergency vet right now.
He's been a regular visitor since summertime (I have shelters and food out for the ferals) but he vanished last week and I hadn't seen him since...until around 2am this morning. He came up onto my porch with his leg just kind of dangling there. I've been trying to catch him since then. It's been quite a night-day!

Had a false start with these pages recently. I ended up being rather dreadfully unhappy with how I'd structured it and how I'd written the dialogue, and so I tore it apart for some major revisions. It's a difficult but very plot-important set of pages to tackle, and so I just didn't feel like I could move ahead with it while also feeling like I was going about it all wrong. Was going largely for a German Expressionist sort of look here (kind of an assortment of artistic movements from the early 20th century that peaked around the 1920s).

After wrapping up the stream, as soon as I swiveled my chair around, this is what I saw. I hadn't even realized they were there. (It's an old futon in my art/computer room - pretty much designated cat furniture at this point, but there's seldom more than one or two cats on it at a time).
