Some poster art I've been slowly working on over the past while for Season 1. Patrons get the first look at how it's turning out. (Hope you like it!)

Band Appreciation

Just realized I hadn't shared the new, finalized band designs with you all - Ben, JJ, Mozzie, and Sy.
Here they are in their performance attire and their street clothes from a slightly earlier time.

The animated GIFs are how we test that the phoneme mouth shapes laid out on the sheets are making sense.

Ivy - Clothing Changes

A look at some of Ivy's outfits and minor design updates for Season 1.

We drew the underlying underwear-only body shape (we call them 'mannequins') for the main cast designs this go-around to facilitate swapping their clothing out. Different scenes and episodes call for different apparel - something we didn't really have to deal with for the Pilot - so we've taken to a kind of paper doll approach like this.

Color Scripting

The color script from Lackadaisy Ingenue, and some of the subsequent background paintings. Color scripting is a part of the production process in which the scene to scene color palette is decided.

Mordecai Brutalized by Wild Kitten Horde

Some of you got a small dose of the kitten madness going on at the director's residence in the last Patron stream, but I figured I should share with everyone here. It's not every day the Cat Distribution System picks you and then glitches out repeatedly right over your head the way it has done to Fable this year.

Fable is fostering this little family (and their mom, Tibbs) until we can figure out some kind of rescue...

Rocky - Costume Changes

The noodle himself, and all of the clothing fit to ruin.

Some Season 1 reworking of Rocky's design. We've made a few slight tweaks to his face since the Pilot - he got his pink nose back, for instance. And his clothing (and lack thereof) needed a lot of expanding upon for animator reference.

Evolution of a Little Guy

Lackadaisy Season 1 Recording Sessions

I just got back from one of the most intense weeks of my lifetime - equal parts exhausting and exhilarating. Cast and some of the crew gathered in L.A. to voice record in studio for all of the Lackadaisy Season 1 episodes, and we just wrapped! We also did the final audio mix for the upcoming mini-episode while we were there!
(Voice recording for shorts and mini-episodes was done remotely prior to this.)
