Integration is now done except for the endgame quest dialogues, I rendered some missing items and figures. Will start testing gameplay tomorrow, writing the missing dialogue as I go along.
The quest line in V0.6 is structured along the new research screen of Gwynn, which includes
- the board game features, then
- the belt access and then
- some magical outfits and accessories.

95% of content is finished and game integration has started.

Development of V0.6 is coming along nicely. All new features (AI attack, dress-up wardrobe, research tree) are now fully integrated and functional.

As you can see in the dev log attachment, all game mechanics, GUI and design items have been completed. From next week render and art will start. Release schedule is still unchanged
- 01.09. VIP Patron Release (for VIP patrons with completed E08 billing)
- 05.09. Early Access Patron Release (if no major findings in VIP release)

Links to the test version have been distributed to VIPs directly.
Note to VIP Status: I have noticed a handful of odd patreon notifications regarding billing cycle for some VIP (drop out end of the month - no charging - rejoin beginning of next month)

Hi,
I just finished the wardrobe/dress up mechanics for V0.6. Rewrote the inventory system for npc to handle special items in their "wardrobe".
If you gift npc an outfit, once they accept it, it is in their wardrobe and can be used. Only applies for Nyx so far.
You can send her exploring now into the the dungeon in any outfit ;) and its a kind of minigame to send her to the tavern in the right outfits...
This replaces the clunky and error prone outfit handling of...

For the ending of the game I need some nicely painted outdoor backgrounds, so I played around with AI generators. (midjourney discord, which are open for public)
Deeply impressed how far they have come. Probably not good for using as is, but as concept drawings to steal stuff from when repainting it in photoshop they are awesome.
Above image was “ominous dark mountain fortress at night green glow painting” dumped into the midjourney discord channel and the AI bot did the rest ...

Hi,
V0.6 activities are progressing almost according to plan. This is the last major game design overhaul, so I implemented a bunch of new mechanics, items & data structures.
- Board attack AI
- Research Tree for Gwynn
- Dress-up screen for Nyx (see example of early version)
After V0.6 it will be mainly content additions until the game comes to a close with V0.8 (and a polished V1.0 later)

Hi,
I finished the first version of the board attack by the queen. Board animations and basic AI automation are done, now I will work a bit more on the AI.
In a week (14.08) or so I will have a development version of the V0.6 game with revised mechanics for board attacks and the new research tree. I will put that up for testing and feedback into the VIP section.

Playing around a bit with animations...
Once i have some basic understanding of the tools I make a higher rez one. It’s for a white background, so might look a bit weird if you have dark mode on.
Edit: Fixed the clipping, background, crown positioning and frame alignment (couldn't let it go...)

Hi,
in order for the "Big Picture" to emerge, I worked a bit on the story and on this occasion wrote down the release schedule I had in my head.
- There will be three more main releases of "The Princess" after 0.5.1, with intermediate releases as necessary (if content slips etc...)
- "The Princess And The Tower" will be concluded by end of the year, if everything works out
