"Shield"

I had an extra day off recently and drew this piece.

In case it isn't blatantly obvious, Levin is shielding Raina. Lol. I wanted to dabble in more grunge, so painting this was fun. I also wanted to draw something with the two in their pilot suits.

This piece is dramatic so it required a profound quote. I took Fyodor Dostoyevky's because I feel like it defines Levin's belief. How true or untrue this quote is does not matter - it's simply the idea that keeps Levin doing what he does...

"It's Always You Three" Oasi Bit

Another meme from another beloved franchise. 

Of all the squadron members, Konner, Seth, and Raina seem to get into the most trouble. Seth tends to instigate most shenanigans, Raina retaliates and/or one-ups, and Konner is just mischievous - going with the flow or fanning the flames of mishap. 

Captain Gilcrest has little patience for such foolery, and for the majority of the time, is able to keep a rein on things.

Graphic Novel Previews and Update 12/27/22

Here are some WIP's from the next couple of pages. Currently working on page 22.

Come Jan, I will have been working on this project for almost a year.
I know things have been going slow, but they have been going steadily. I feel like I've been getting faster and improving my skills.

Thanks for all the support and being patient as this project comes to fruition. I'm so excited to be able to share my first published chapter this summer!

Oasi's Fallen Update 12/10/22

Hello and Happy December!

It's time for an update on the novel, so here we go:

1. I've finished story boarding ALL of chapter 1. (WOOHOO!) It is a total of 30 pages - perfect for my first book.

2. Page 20 is fully complete. This means I only need to line and paint 10 more pages.

3. I'm still on track for completing this project come summer.

Is This Food? (Oasi Bits)

It was time for another meme. Decided to go with "is this a pigeon?" meme. Raina is always trying to cook and eat off-world fauna regardless of whether or not she knows what exactly it is, so this one was perfect.

This animal is actually called a stained glass kaouterida or better known locally as a "glasswing". They aren't poisonous, but most people prefer to observe them rather than eat them.
