CYOA #1 pitch

As you might have read in the about page of the Patreon and the reopening post, I'll be starting a choose your own adventure for All the Way patrons! I have tried something similar to this in July 2023 over Twitter and had a lot of fun with it, so why not do another one?

The way this works is simple: I write (and draw) the initial situation, and give you all some options on what happens next. Then I write the next part of the story from the most voted choice, which leads to another poll...

One thing I tried to do with Outclassed 2 is use more interesting page layouts, characters popping out of panels, etc. This one has radial symmetry of course.

Also I like how Walter looks with his lower canines more prominent than the top ones, I might continue drawing him like this

I haven't done a Spanish translation in a while, it's always difficult for me because I don't know whether to go with the dialect that comes natural to me or a more neutral latin Spanish one, but these first pages do come a little easier because Suarez and Walter use a more formal register when talking to each other (which has less variation across regions).

Hiatus catch-up Part 1 - Outclassed stuff

I'll be using this "Hiatus catch-up" label for most of the stuff I did while Patreon was unpublished. Yes, it is a lot.

I'll start off with random stuff featuring the Outclassed characters, with a followup post for the stuff most relevant to the comic I just started publishing. In order, these are:

There's a couple things you guys might have noticed from the first page I just released: 1) I'm using a higher resolution overall (which, it's about damn time), 2) I'm using less flat colors, more texture and shading and 3) I'll be panelling a lot less rigidly than Outclassed 1 and Boomer's Big Date, overall I want to step up the production value a bit from the previous comic.

As you guys know, I put Patreon on hold a while ago because of some pretty big life changes that made it very difficult to keep up with the schedule, while I continued making art on the side at a slower pace. Long story short, I miss working on bigger projects, the one long-ish comic I made last year (Joe starting therapy) made it evident to me that it's what I love making the most, and yet another big shift in my life has given me the time to get back in the saddle.

So, what to expect ...

I've been drawing these two having safe sex for like 3 years now so I feel like them finally fucking raw deserved a pretty big payoff... namely like 3 panels of them fucking from different angles. You all earned the fanservice.

Hope you all enjoyed this last batch of strips, I worked a little extra to get it done a week early and give these two a happy ending before closing the patreon on Saturday.

I rewrote this page a bunch of times because I didn't want it to come off as corny or too verbose but it's a love confession, it was always going to be corny. In hindsight I might have been writing from experience here, since I did have a love confession interrupted by the target shutting me up with a kiss before so, you know, it is something that can happen IRL.

I'd say it was well earned because Boomer's Big Date ended like 2 years ago and they're only now saying this out loud to each...

Out of all the non-canon pairings, this is one of the most probable (assuming, again, Miles and Boomer never met), since both go to the same gym, Miles has a thing for chubby older guys, and Suarez likes the challenge of taking a gym bunny that lifts for looks and "correcting" him. I don't think anyone will be surprised by the "twist" here but yes, this was always Miles' way of making the relationship official. 

I flip-flopped a bit with the expression on the last panel. It wasn't hitting the right emotion, which should be halfway between "I am obviously in love with you, dummy" and somewhat concerned he didn't figure it out, and this first draft leans a little too hard on the former.

And yes that first panel is extremely gratuitous and fun to do.
