Its so helpful to draw that box and it doesn't matter how experienced you are at drawing I would always recommend to do whatever helps you - why struggle to draw something when you can just do a quick sketch and make it ten times easier. I found myself using it in a recent drawing because it was the quickest and easiest way to figure the pose out
