I've given up putting the colour adjustment in the rough colour, because its one extra step for me that isn't necessary- but I suppose it means you can see the original colours this way! I usually make everything the local colours, and then apply a multiply or overlay colour to match the scene.

Marnie is really interesting to draw emoting, she's so expressive most of the time, but when she's actually upset she's the opposite, clams up and tries to not show it. 

Here (to me) she's looking into the distance, knowing that everything will change when she opens her mouth.

I love getting to pull out the impressionism for backgrounds, its so fun (and fast... trying to line or detail paint this kind of thing would take a million years. I feel like when you line its a lot easier to give away that you don't know how to draw something well...vs when you just put some blobs in the right shape the viewer can fill in the gaps for you (I am hoping I can find a way to make my lines more impressionist for my next project hahahahahaah)

I'm getting a lot of mileage out of that first panel hahahaha. I've been watching Hajime no Ippo recently, and they re-use the same establishing frames every new scene, and honestly it works well. Like a consistent 'look, we're here, remember this place/frame?'

Here's the Sylvia/Billie comic I've been working on! The plot is very silly, but I hope the smut is hot!

hoooo that last picture came out way too hot. I've raised the bar too high and I'll have to surpass this level of hot later in the comic but I don't have the heart to get rid of those bedroom eyes hahahaha. I copied the pose from a selfie (I'd feel...rude posting it it's just some random girl on google search) but that's why it looks half decent ;p. I had the idea of that angle but I didnt want to spend 200 years trying to get it right.
