A lot of what makes Kuserra's downtown area thrive is its access to trade caravans from neighboring regions. Every once in an inconsistent while, daring captains with hardy crews and even hardier vehicles will cross the treacherous Deadlands to reach the city. VOTE - First Character Page

We did it, you guys!  We made it to the first goal of ten patrons.  I guess that means I have to get serious about putting up a character page on the main site.

We will need a character to debut that page, however.  Who should it be?  Kiva would make the most sense of course, but I did promise I'd let you guys vote on it.

Kiva Warmup

Just a super quick warm-up of Kiva today.

This is what I've started calling a "Tier-1 sketch." Normally I'd reduce its opacity, go over it again with a Tier-2 sketch, then (if I'm still not satisfied), I'll trace over that once more with a Tier-3 sketch before I start inking the final lines. Weekly Update - 62

Things are finally starting to get back to normal!  We've got our new desks almost set up.  We got a fridge... washer and dryer are being delivered this week... and the builders promised to think about fixing our internet this week... so... hopefully that all happens!  I'm down to about 3.5 gb of phone data before they start throttling me big time, and at the rate I'm going that won't last me the week.

Progress is being made on Page 101, and if I really hammer on it today...

Character Q&A - Riley's Tail

So, I'm still pretty braindead from moving (and all the subsequent problems we've been having since) and we haven't received ANY sketch suggestions and yesterday I was completely out of ideas, so I just doodled some crap I didn't feel was worth posting.

I suppose I'm aware that at least a part of Riley's design is inspired by the Cheshire Cat. That grin of hers is meant to be creepy and unnerving. Weekly Update - 61

Last night was full of dreams. They were those annoyingly realistic dreams that seemed to be completely plausible and completely real until you wake up and you remember that none of it happened... except even after you think about it you can't quite be 100% sure it didn't.

The move is going well... ish. A lot of our stuff has been unpacked and the house is beginning to resemble something functional, but the builders forgot one of the lighting options we paid for in one room and they lef...

Kiera Swimsuit

I'm not above a little Kiera fanservice. Besides, I could always use the anatomy practice. I used a posing doll for the body this time, but I dunno... those dolls help me get the proportions correct sometimes but I think it comes at the cost of a lot of stylistic choices I might have made otherwise.

Weekly Update - 60

Moving sucks.  It seems like no matter what we do to prepare, it always sucks.  None of the dates line up properly, there's always a bizarre period of limbo where your entire life is upended, and anything that can go wrong does go wrong.

The hope was that I would be able to maybe finish another comic page this week or next, but it just doesn't seem very likely to happen.  My computer is in a box.  Did I plan for it to be in a box?  No.  My plan was to drive...

The Spots that Matter

I have a lot to do today so I made this quick and dirty, but I thought it might be fun to share, kinda, a map of just the spots I care about when I'm drawing the twins.

I certainly don't painstakingly map out their entire bodies and keep every single spot consistent, but there's a fair number of them I pay special attention to just to make sure that their appearance doesn't drastically shift from page to page or from panel to panel.
