Happy November! This month we will be making portrait studies together. Use one of the reference images provided, or find your own reference, to create a portrait that is based on the photo. Rather than simply copy the image, try giving the study your own unique artistic touch by diverting from the reference image and exaggerating specific aspects of it.
This has been the busiest month of the year for me. There was so much stuff going on! I went to an art event, had friends and family visiting, and of course I started up my Patreon again after a break. I guess that explains why it flew by so fast! (Or should I say: Flu by? Read on for more context on that one.) Next month is a lot calmer, so I'm looking forward to spending more time hanging out on my couch and drawing.

It's been a while since I made a painting! I love how the ginkgo leaves turn a beautiful yellow around this time of year, so here's my little ode to that. I'm also trying to find a painting technique that isn't too stressful on my arm. So that means less hard round brush and other brushes that are sensitive to pen pressure.
